That is your guess not fact. And everyone thought Mitch was great too. Look how that turned out. Being number one doesnt make you a great QB in an NFL that is unforgiving. Dak is a known quantity in a sport that doesnt have any. His growth from what he was is excellent. But we as a team have regressed and have serious issues down the line. If he is the guy, you pay him for the short term contract, fix your issues and see what pops. If hes not, dont waste time and tag him. Either way there is zero confidence that this team will not go about doing the same thing they have done with Dak and thats waste his rookie contract that gets them nowhere.

As I continue to try and figure out what the main issue with the defense is, the defensive line keeps jumping out. Our tackles get absolutely blown off the ball every play. They are always getting washed down into the linebackers and make their jobs 100x harder. I am not going to defend the terrible seasons that Jaylon Smith and Vander Esch have had, but they have pretty much proven at this point in their careers that they are at least average-above average NFL linebackers. A DT or two that could actually play would elevate the entire front 7.

LLLOOLLL, I thought I read per this board some wanted the red rifleman starting over Dak before the season.
