We are still in the thick of the NFC Least race, but what’s the incentive? This team is going nowhere.

What do we need to do to get things rolling in the right direction? I’m at a loss

Well, I would trade or cut some bad salaries. Zeke, looking at you.

I would start Nooch or the other bum we just signed. Because it doesn't really matter.

Would fire Nolan, promote Edwards, and give playcalling to Mike. If nothing gets better, then fire them all after the season.

Other than that, really, just keep doing what we are doing. Would love a top 5 pick and a new coaching staff after an historically embarrassing year

My personal view:

Rivera played a smart game. He copied what Arizona did and what we'll see the rest of the way.
We don't have the speed for lateral pursuit. Washington came out and attacked the edges, then hit home runs inside.

We don't have the speed to play Nolan's defense. We either get speed, or we change the defense.

Fire Nolan. Don't worry about "installing a complex defense", because his complex-defense coaching butt won't survive until next season anyway. Get any assistant the players listen to and have him call Cover 1 and Cover 3 over and over like he's playing Madden rookie mode. Yes, it will get carved up. That's fine. I don't expect to win, I just want to not get run out of the stadium at halftime.

Bench Jaylon, contract be damned.

Sit LVE, don't get him hurt in a lost season.

There is no fixing an offensive line down 6 players with injury, especially at tackle where the NFL is chronically short on talent anyway. Pray for DiNucci's mortal soul.

Lose out and draft Penai Sewell top 3 next year.

With our OL, we wont even be able to be competitive in most games. Let alone win. With Dalton and an OL, we may have been a been able to win a shootout or two against a bad team.

Only winnable game I see is NY

My thinking...

The "window" has been slammed shut. Zeke is overrated and overpaid (the they are stuck with him)...the O Line is decimated and getting old(er). This team is going nowhere this season, and probably wasn't with Dak given the defense. One of his strengths was his ability to make plays with his feet...but will that be the same coming off a severe ankle injury? Who knows.

Make the coaching changes that need to be made...if the offense cannot get going better (not winning, just showing life/heart) then Moore needs to go. Do the tanking without making it look obvious. I figure they are on track for a top five pick, if not top three. There will be a good QB there...take him and do not tag Dak again. I think Dak is good enough to lead (not carry...lead) a team to a championship. But a new high pick QB saves this team $20 million against the cap next season. Use that money to improve the defense.
