Dallas will not draft Lawrence....never happen.
It doesn’t even matter if one could guarantee he will be better than Dak. The point is that the offense is not the problem and hasn’t been. The problem has been the defense for quite a while. It’s very clear that the defensive personnel needs a drastic overhaul. Even if we have the #1, it will be traded for multiple picks to rebuild the defense so we can play complimentary football.

I dont think the Jets are going to win 2 games all season so the #1 pick is likely out of reach for the Cowboys.

I'm looking at the top 5-6 picks in mocks. Other than the 3 QBs, the two best prospects seems to be Oregon left tackle Peneii Sewell and Penn State LB Micah Parsons. Patrick Surtain CB from Alabama might be a consideration.

If Tyron is coming back, do we even consider Sewell?

I'd be ecstatic if we can just release Jaylon and plug in Parsons.

Highly unlikely that Trevor Lawrence will be better than Dak.

If he is it will take several years to get to that point.

Doesn’t matter anyway since the 2 wins Dak got us puts us out of the running.

That would be a foolish pick already......Lawrence would get ruined by this organization.

Dak was on pace to break records in the nfl and we had the #1 offense in the nfl. Expecting a rookie qb to come here and do that is not realistic. We are going to expect a rookie to put up 40 points a game behind a questionable o line... How about we shore that defense up?

We are bad enough for the top pick. And not only bad enough, but getting worse.

This team has no hope and no fight, and we are down to our 3rs string QB, who really has no place on an NFL roster and is only here because of some distant connection to the head coach.

If we are not picking first, then it's only because other teams are deliberately trying to lose. We just can't help it, which actually makes us worse.

Give me Lawrence or Fields out of this year, and a coaching staff with a heartbeat, and I'm happy with this season.

What good would Lawrence have done today? He'd probably be in the Med Tent next to Dalton. This team is completely broken with an awesome person at the helm cultivating a toxic atmosphere and a bunch soft players who don't know %$@# about winning.

I personally like Justin Fields a bit more and that kid has moxy. Thought Ohio State got screwed by the refs in the Clemson game earlier this year in the playoffs. We are not going anywhere and shinking fast. We should consider all options and that includes a quarterback and even bringing back Dak. This team needs to consider rebuilding and pressing reset.

Would love to get Fields

Problem is the Jets aren’t winning a game.

They’ll MAX win 1 game. 2 would be a miracle.

We need help on both lines... a QB is not the answer.

Even if we can't keep Dak, we still need to build an actual TEAM...

after this historically bad defensive start, it's puzzling as to why anyone would want to draft more offense.

A rookie QB would have done nothing, but that extra 30m sure would help fix some holes on this team.
