I believe it was Jason Garrett's time to leave, but wow, none of his teams ever looked like this. Mayhaps he deserves a little more credit than he got
Jason Garrett had the same situation with injuries in 2015 and that team looked just as bad

Not defensively though.....no one can look that bad

McCarthy is just an idiot....post game

Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy on whether he'd make change from DC Mike Nolan: "That hasn’t crossed my mind. I’m focused on getting better each and every day. That’s where we are."....
He cant go in a press conference and say ive got his pink slip in the computer i just gotta sign it

im pretty sure hes thought of firing him multiple times

As good as this sounds it will never happen unfortunately

Can't fire McCarthy during the year. There is no one to promote and you cant hire anyone during the season.

Monday after the season is over they should get rid of all these coaches and start over. Trim payroll, eat the salary cap hits you have to and start over. The old school way. Tear it down and rebuild.

A good group of coaches can make it work because the front office just does what the coaches tell them on draft day.

It's culture.
I have to believe that McCarthy is not in charge. He can't be this bad of a coach, can he?
Do you REALLY think he wanted Kellen Moore?
I don't.
But he is so happy to be back in the league, he likely conceded to Jerry being the GM/coach.
In essence, he submitted to the culture.
Of course, having Nolan as a DC doesn't help.
But our culture is screwed up. If 25 years hasn't taught us this by now, we'll simply remain wondering why.
it's almost like our players think at any moment this season will be canceled.
they start the game like they can't wait til halftime.
and come out the 2nd half and cant wait to get the hell out of there.
atleast DLaw,Jaylon,LVE,Aldon Smith and Diggs try.
they maybe wrong but atleast they try to do something.
what the hell is poe doing?
or everson griffen?
and i wanted everson griffen.
but where the hell is he?
i've defended crawford.
thought he was a versatile player.
leader.
tough.
too pricey but servicable.
where the hell is he?
why are DLaw and Aldon Smith the only ones trying to do something even if its wrong.
Gallimore and Hamilton should never be taken off the field.
we cant fire the owner.
and i dont really want mccarthy fired because why would urban meyer or nick saban or jim harbaugh come here with this f/o.
mccarthy and these players have got to find a way to make this work.
we can not be this bad.
but we are.

I love McCarthy’s quotes

“We have to clean that up”
“I thought they played hard”
“We prepared well all week!”
“That’s on me. We will get better”

I'm nicknaming this defense Casper.

It's offense friendly, disappears every game and it smells dead.

Positive....

1st Game since Sept. 13th where the Cowboys held the opposing team to under 30 points! It's a trend.

Offseason (really inseason already) chaos writing is on the wall. Outside of the NYJ there’s no worse competitive organization in place right now. Fortunately the brand is worth several billion dollars so all us fans are satisfied and glad we can help support Mr. Jones.

I would even be excited, no matter the record!
Winning is always exciting for me also but what is the end goal? I mean with Jerry Jones as general manager?

The 2016 season has haunted me every day after it ended. Super Bowl appearances and/or victories are really rare events for any franchise when considering the entire Super Bowl era. No team should take real opportunities for granted when reaching the title game is in a team's grasp.

Forget 2017, 2018, 2019 and even this season. At that time, in 2016, the franchise had a real shot.

However, we were playing so freaking well. "Do not mess with chemistry!"

I need a drink.
