Folks...I DONT know what else there is to do but wait until

1. Jerry jones dies of old age
2. Jerry jones sells

There is nothing, not a single thing not a single person, coach that can fix this team has no soul.
I never thought it would be this bad

I honestly see no end do this bad "era" or bad "reality" or however you want to call it
Yep, and the reason I have quit watching after almost 50 years of watching every game I possibly could. No more Jones' circus act for me.

ok ok damn it, this is still, at the end of the day a game right?
No it's life or death.

People who live their lives by whether or not the team wins or loses are sort of sad to see that they would let a sports team direct their feelings.

When I was a child that was what I was. If we won on Sunday I could not wait to read the Sports page on Monday morning. I would be up flipping thru the pages and read it all before Dad had his coffee to go to work.

If the team coughed a hairball..dad had to go get the paper. I slept late. I was so pissy I would wait until Thursday to start reading again.

This went on for years into my adulthood when the internet then was the source of all truth. Now here I am.

My point is just be careful of how you and what you focus on. This team has really turned into a time and money waster for all of us.

It's no longer 'fun' and has turned into work to follow it. Time to see what this team is about.

Most of us need a new team to follow. I have gradually watch more and more college football the last few years.

You should try it if you are still drowning in Cowboy tears. It's a lot easier to enjoy knowing 3/4 of the players are not going on to the pros. They are playing for an education and a 9-5 job after graduation.

Much more down to earth than the pros.

How do you get his attention. Hit him in the pocketbook. How can the common fan do that is my question. We can quit going to games and buying merchandise. But the problem is the money making machine that is the dallas Cowboys. No amount of grass roots fan revolt will affect it. If somehow at&t decides the Cowboys no longer represent their brand in a positive light and pull their name off the stadium. All the other sponsors decide their advertising dollars are spent better elsewhere.

I dont live in the dfw area so I dont know what the local media is like. Sounds like they are on board with the Jones company line. The chiefs had some staged black outs and fan revolts before they hired Andy Ried that seemed to work. The local media here is about 50 50 with one outlet toeing the company line and the other not so much.

They changed the coaches. The results seem to be worse. Somethings gotta give.
The local media here and certainly the fan base here has been done with the Jones’ for years. The local radio people I listen to just openly mock Jerry. The “flagship” station for the Cowboys, 105.3 The Fan, have mostly suck ups but The Ticket and the local Dallas area writers rip on the Jones all the time.

But even The Ticket guys carry on that same old line that Jerry “really, really wants to win” and always fail to follow it up with “but not as much as he wants to make money.”

As an Eagles fan told me 10 years ago, "We love Jerry here in Philly and hopes he lives to be 100"!

Have you heard the “Hardline” lately? Danny Balis, Bob Sturm, Corby Davidson just last week were calling Jerry our “local sports embarrassment”. Danny said the Cowboys under Jerry are like a good looking girl you date that always turns out to be a hooker. The old retired WBAP stalwart Randy Galloway has called Jerry a joke for years. Dale Hansen at Ch 8, Jean Jacques Taylor of ESPN....the list goes on and on.

We missing the 3 most important positions on offense. QB, LT, RT relax man. I don’t know any team that would overcome that. Look at belicheck and the Pats without Brady , and their LT.

Every year Bob Sturm and Norm Hitzcus say the same thing about nothing ever changes and Jerry defiantly sits atop of this pile of s**t and gives the cowboys fanbase the finger as he "GMs the hell out of this team". Having a drunken, part time GM with no talent for all things football and a penchant for call girls and JW Blue doesn't inspire confidence. Jerry will scapegoat the usual assistant coaches, list this years litany of excuses, and drift further into dementia. Now, who wants to buy a Cowboys jersey, tickets, and tshirts?

Excellent thread..... I hope all fans come to this realization

We can all discuss players, coaches, scouts, trades, schedule, draft, combine, free agents, etc etc etc

As long as a skunk lives in a house, it will always stink, and contaminate anyone who enters that house no matter who they are. Until the skunk is out and a full cleanup is done, the house will always stink.

Sure, go ahead, create threads, post replies, debate, argue, we've all been doing it for decades. NOTHING IS GOING TO CHANGE PEOPLE

The skink is there to stay

I HATE BUM BRIGHT SO MUCH

This franchise will be in Joneses hands for a loong time.

It will only be sold after its revenue will go down. And when that happens nobody will be watching football anyways.

Yes.

I have a stack of X'd out calendars here in the basement and the fact that I know Jerry is 78 years and 12 days old today and the average life expectancy for a male in the US is 78 and half years is simply a coincidence.

Jerry Jones is worse than a late Al Davis.
It's like the family pizzeria selling garbage and thinking they have the best pizza in town.

The one that puts the salad on top of the hot pizza for delivery

I've been a member of this board since 2004.

This must be, at least, the 200th time this exact same thread has been made.
