Did anyone know Dalton was this bad?

I will be completely honest, I thought "regular season" Dalton could more than hold his own for several weeks if we needed him to. With these offensive weapons, how could he not?

Now I never wanted Dalton to play a "must win"/"playoff" game for Dallas since he has completely stunk in those games his entire career, but I thought he would be much better than this for "normal" games.

I guess I was wrong.

...I thought he was much better, then how's he played. I know he signed as backup, but dang he's been awful.

I know the OL is makeshift, but nonetheless he's had time to make throws and just plunders.

...the curse continues to haunt us.
Andy is a good QB
The blocking we have would make pat mahommes look like a bum
The oline has to work together, see the same things
That’s hard when every week you have a new lineup
Steele wouldn’t have even active this season without the injuries
He is a development player thrown to the wolves
When you’ve have 6 diffent players playing tackle in a season you aren’t gonna have good line play
If my math is right we’ve had 6 tackles, 4 guards and 2 centers play
And we are half way done yet

Well.....Andy phone wasn't exactly ringing off the hook, benched for AJ McCarron once, JBurrows drafted, and last year a complete disaster with highlights here & there.....he is who we thought he was......he's fallen off, to say the least.

How come some else gets a ton of excuses, but Zeke and a few can't?

Is he really this bad or is he dealing with the worst OL in football and an entire offense that quit when their leader went down for the season?
Not trying to argue he is as good or better than Dak, he is not. Just think nobody has a shot with a team that has quit.

Tom Brady would have gotten killed today out there. Right now our QB's are in the chuck and duck mode. Next week we will get destroyed.

He posted a passer rating of 78 last year. Which is bad. We all pointed and laughed at Washington when Dwayne Haskins was out there performing at that level. God, what we wouldn't give for him to have played up to that ceiling in his two starts.

The realists among us expected him to be pretty bad. I'm not sure anyone expected him to be even worse than that. Though, given the nature of aging (some guys hit a wall and it goes downhill fast) and him having bad circumstances this offseason for learning a new offense, and considering the o-line injuries, I suppose we should've known there was a good chance he'd come out and play this God-awful.

Nobody anticipated him coming in and being this awful. I mean, his yards per attempt in his two starts is so low that we might as well be running the ball every play instead. It's next-level crazy how bad he's been.

Dalton in his career in Cincy had 7.1 yards per attempt. In his two starts for us, he got 4.9 yards per attempt and 3.9 yards per attempt. We could've put Blake Bell in at QB and ran a high-school or college offense, running the ball on hand-offs and options 90% of the plays the last two games, and it wouldn't have been appreciably worse than what we got with our 33-year old, 10th year, savvy veteran backup QB trying and failing to run an NFL offense.

He just doesn’t throw a good ball. I a lot of his passes were off target and were close to the LOS. I’m not sure if that’s oline, play calling or what, but I just don’t see much there.

i didnt.
its not all his fault.
but Dak was playing behind a patch-work oline too and still got the ball down the field.
im starting to think the coaches know Dalton doesnt have the arm anymore.

Dalton's release and speed looked better than daks so it's not the arm.

Dak was still playing behind Zach martin and Brandon Knight. Now we are onto the backups of both of those for Andy.

Zach missing is a major deal.

Definitely played worse than I thought he would. Doesn’t recognize the blitz well.

At least with Dak at QB we had chances to win games. Without him, we’re playing like the worst team in the NFL.

With him we were playing like the worst team in the NFL. This team is bad, end of story. Dak just made us better losers.

Poor Andy is dealing with a very crappy situation that is completely out of his control.
I feel terrible for him.

Pretty much this. He took over when the entire team has decided to quit(not just the defense). If you can't see the offense has given up after the Dak injury you're watching a different game.. hasn't been great but can you blame him?

Got us a win in the giants game
Last week was terrible
This week was bad stat wise. However lamb dropped argurably two td passes and had other drops. Zeke tipped int. Ran for his life most of the game. If lamb held on to those balls we would be having a different conversation

Won't matter whos back there at this point.
