There were too many uncertainties for me to make any firm predictions. I said it could go either way, depending on injuries.
Well besides Frederick, who retired, this season we have lost, for the year or substantial periods of time, Dak, McCoy, T. Smith, L. Collins, Jarwin, Looney and Awuzie. All starters. Lost B. Jones, M. Collins to free agency. Both starters.
Add to that players like Dix, who were supposed to improve the team, couldn't even make the final roster.
New defensive scheme, new head coach. No preseason, no otas or mini camps.
You add all that up, and I would submit what we see is what any team would come down to.
This season is shot, over, a disgrace, abysmal, lost, or any other of a number of similar words.
I expect the Cowboys to lose every game from here on out. And that's coming from someone who is a realist, not a pessimist in nearly all things. Too many injuries, too many bad choices on personnel, too much just plain bad luck.
I'll still watch the games, been a fan too long, but it's going to be painful all the way through...
