I wouldn't go that far. The Cowboys shouldn't win again but they still might squeak one out. The Cowboys have been worse. Most of you just weren't old enough to remember it.
Joe I've been a Cowboys fan for 45 years so ya I was!

Everything about this team is lackluster. Imagine if jimmy had some of this talent his first year. I've always believed it starts with the hc. But Jerry sees no value in coaching. 2-14 doesn't seem unrealistic.
Cern you and I go back a long way and I don't mean back to dc.com, but have you ever seen a team this unprepared, this unmotivated, this uninspired, this undisciplined? There are a lot of un's there and I mean bad un's!

The 89 team could have won a few games if Jimmy wasn’t actively tanking, this team looks worse than 89 and 89 is the worst I have seen

The year we suck historically and a franchise quarterback is available in the draft, but we won't get him because the Jets suck worse.
And what's so bad about it is there aren't any Hall of Fame-potential college players coming out beyond Lawrence unlike the 1989 draft that produced Aikman (1), Barry Sanders (3), Derrick Thomas (4) and Deion Sanders (5).

But we kinda knew the 89 Cowboys would suck. They were devoid of talent up and down the entire roster. There was no fantasies of competing for a Super Bowl much less making the playoff.
We had high expectations this year. Another disappointing season. Sigh.

People are being emotional talking about not getting another win. Highly doubtful they lose their last 11 games.

The only Lawrence that would help this team is the linebacker that played for the Giants years ago, and like the Cowboys, he's finished.

correct they wont win another game!

people are still talking about the talent on this team lol...what talent? there is no talent

it is going to get a lot worse too when the players just start ignoring the coaches...or maybe that would be an improvement haha
or won't make any difference!!!!!!!!!!!!

That now meaningless win against the Falcons dropped us from what would be #2 pick to #8

Even if we dont take a QB (i will riot) we could atleast ask for a boatload of picks from a team wanting to move up

Problem is, this FO doesn't seem to get it. Dallas culture doesn't create great players anymore...

I am not Pro-Dak... But, even if I was... it doesn't matter. You can't pay him, it is impossible.

This team needs so many pieces, it just isn't even something you can fathom with a franchise supposedly worth so much.

I mean how can the Dallas Cowboys, of all friggin teams not be relevant in 25 years? A quarter of a century?

I said in the game thread, Jimmy must love this. If there was any question on who made that winning team, they have been answered. Jerry can no longer
take any credit, other than writing the checks. We know he had no say in who they got. There is just no way he had any input. Which supposedly he was so
busy making deals to cover it all, he really didn't have any input.

He has proved he isn't capable of putting a winning team together himself.

This is Browns level trash...

We basically need a whole new defense... There is really not a player on defense that I care if we get rid of. Aldon, may be the only one I care about keeping.

We need a whole new offensive line... the number of times defenders today literally had an untouched lane to the QB is just absurd. I don't care if they are 4th string... They are still in the NFL.
They are still somehow considered NFL caliber athletes.

This stuff is just mind boggling...

We're not in the Trevor Lawrence race. We wouldn't draft him and we'll win too many games to be in that position anyway. Even 4 wins will be too many.

Dallas wouldn't draft him anyway. The selling machine of Jerry and Stephen would convince the fan base that the players they draft with the picks they receive for their draft spot, will be football greats!

This team is so bad that 2-14 is a lock! They have cashed out and the players are collecting their paychecks. They will go down in history as the worst team in Cowboy's history book it!
I hope to hell they don't

Me too. Trade Dak plus our #1 to get him

I don’t think the Jets would do it..

They are in a complete rebuild and Dak needs to go to a team that thinks they can win now..

Someone like Indianapolis or New England is who should make a play for Dak.

This team has no chance to win 4 games

This team also had no chance at Lawrence

I don't think this team wins another game.. but folks need to step back and look at who they're rolling out there.. They are missing 6 starters on offense.. 7 if you count Fredbeard! If that's not enough the top backups are hurt too. And that doesn't even take into account that you're down the most important position on the field. No one could have predicted the dropoff to Dalton would be this steep.. but it has been.. Then the defense is ALSO missing at least 3 starters.. and a lot of the guys who ARE suiting up are gimpy. The net result is the team we hoped we would see this year never really had a chance to materialize. For all intents and purposes this season is over.

That said I honestly don't understand the thought process behind "we can't pay Dak." Why the hell would you NOT pay Dak? If you stink bad enough to get Lawrence is he lining up at nose next year? All you have done if you let Dak walk is hit reset at the QB position. Dak was successful as a rookie because he was surrounded by a really good team. Lawrence would not have that luxury. I have outlined a number of times how signing Dak lowers his cap hit for at least the next two years.. which gives you the flexibility you need under the cap to bring in a couple of guys who might actually still have some desire to play and gas left in the tank.. Then you load up on defensive playmakers in the next two drafts and depending on how Collins and Tyron look out of surgery you mix in o-line as well. Dak has shown that when he's in the lineup he's worth like three touchdowns over Dalton. You don't just toss that kind of impact aside for a prayer..
