If we do play into the #1 pick the FO really needs to think about taking the kid from Clemson, he could be a generational talent that you cant walk away from. Dak is a heck of a player and leader, but if the whole thing is going to be blown up why not let Dak get his money and hopefully success somewhere else.

I really don't think you need to blow it up. This team is ready to destroy the league on offense with Dak at the helm and we just need to get playmakers on defense. One on the d-line, one at LB and one at safety. That can be accomplished in one draft. This notion that Lawrence is going to come in and immediately play at the same level of Dak is a pipe dream. He might not ever be as good as Dak.. And drafting him does nothing to fix the defense.

Well the Cowboys still have the Vikings, Bengals, Giants, Commanders, and Eagles on the schedule. All those teams are beatable if the team gives any effort.
They aren’t beating the Vikings and Bengals. Dalvin Cook will run for 300 and Burrow looks decent and has weapons in Cincy. This defense ain’t stopping no one.

I agree that T Lawrence is a franchise changing player and will be the first pick in the draft. The problem is that the Jets will probably move on from Darnold if they do get the pick and of course will select Lawrence, not trade their pick. And the Jags will probably go for the second QB, whoever that is, maybe Fields from Ohio St. So Dallas even with the 5th pick in the draft will not get that chance. Heck even the Falcons would want a QB for eventual replacement of Bryant. Lots of really bad teams this year in need of a QB. Only team are the Texans who are bound with Watson. Ugggghhhhh, why didn't the Falcons recover that onside kick...???

Man this looks like you're rooting for next year's QB to be anybody BUT Dak Prescott. So you people are really willing to let go of an MVP caliber QB for a hope and prayer on Lawrence.. instead of drafting a top 5 talent on the defensive side of the ball and starting to pair some defensive playmakers with this offense? Oh and Bryant is the kicker for the Falcons.. the QB's name is Ryan.

We’re not getting 4 wins, I don’t see another win on our schedule the question is can the jets and jags win 3?

Any team the Cowboys tie with will probably get the worse pick. The Cowboys have one of the lowest strength of schedules and that’s the first tiebreaker. So if you are assuming the Cowboys don’t win another game then 2-14 is enough for the Cowboys to get the better pick.

Danny freaking Dimes toyed with this defense. Kyler Murray couldn't hit saltwater throwing a football from a kayak in the middle of the Atlantic and still hit Kirk wide open. Burrow will torch this defense.

It's like some of these fans don't watch football outside of the Cowboys.

An ankle is NOT a major injury. Guys break ankles all the time and come back just fine. It's not like Dak is a running back, receiver of DB, a position that requires constant cutting on that ankle. Dak can play in high tops and never think about his ankle again.
The ankle was a compound fracture. but like you said, Dak should come back from the injury. The problem though is the timing. Asking for elite $$$, when your rehabbing a broken ankle isn't the best thing going for Dak. And FWIW, I seriously tore the ligaments on my left ankle playing basketball. Never was quite the same after that.

I don't consider it a 'lock', but I have a hard time seeing anither win coming, given how historically bad the defense is and how inept the offense is now without Prescott. Add it up and I don't know what team they could beat at this point.

eagles and giants will know they can terrorize our D

Steelers too experienced for us.

we tend to forget the Atlanta Win was a fluke special teams mistake Otherwise we are a 1 win had to comeback to do it team

D and gift points off turnovers dooms is by halftime

don’t ever recall seeing WR’s that open and RBs getting 100 yds by halftime

I don't disagree that rehabbing the injury SHOULD soften Dak's demands a tad.. But not if the team keeps averaging less than a TD a game with these other QBs at the helm. Those guys are proving Dak's worth for him. As for your basketball injury.. basketball is harder on ankles than football could ever dream of being. All that stopping and starting a dozen times per possession puts way more pressure on that joint than football does. The only guy on the football field making more than a couple of cuts per play is the ballcarrier. Even then it's not the constant stop/start that hoops requires. I turned my ankle at least 20 times playing hoops.. Never once did it playing football.. and I was running back, receiver, db. Now if we were talking knees.. that's another story..

I don't know how you could look at this team and their performance and see any wins on the horizon.

We have 3rd stringers all along the OL, a 3rd string QB who probably has no business being in the NFL, and a defense that is the worst in the league and can't stop even the worst offenses.

So all that means we can't score points and can't stop the other team from scoring points. How can you possibly win a single game?! This already bad team is getting worse by the week.

If they would beat the Egals twice with a 3rd stringer, that would make me proud & I wouldn't care much else lol.

They’ll pull off the miracle win against Philly next week. Beat some other bad team or two by sheer luck. And finish with the 8-10th pick in the draft. Just missing out on the best OT and defensive player in the 2021 draft........

No

This team is so bad that 2-14 is a lock! They have cashed out and the players are collecting their paychecks. They will go down in history as the worst team in Cowboy's history book it!

Good. Winning is losing this year. We need high picks.

If we can trade down in the draft and stay in the top 12 while picking up extra picks that is a big win. We need lots of high picks.

Division stinks, and we're getting defenders back. Martin and Knight too. I bet we a few more. 10 more games. There's time for players to get healthy.

And DiNucci has like a 108 QB rating! Woohoo!

I'm old enough to remember 1989's 1-15. We were worse then. But its close.

Maybe not, but I don't think its a forgone conclusion they won't win any more games. But yeah likely to finish the season somewhere between 2 and 5 wins. After losing to the Commanders like that, it feels like they should just mail it in if they haven't already.
