Has McCarthy lost the team? and what to do about it

It appears to me after watching the last couple of games, that this team isn't responding to McCarthy or any of the coaches. Has the coaching staff lost the team so early on in the season? What should the the Jones boy do?

The jones's should publicly call out this gutless team. And by that i mean the players, not the coaches.

You have to give McCarthy a shot to build this roster the way he wants and let him purge a lot of Garrett’s players.

Nolan needs to go regardless though.

The problem with that is that is where Booger's relationships are. How many owners do you know of being a partner in a business with a player?

These players are the tail wagging the dog and they think they can get what they want and odds are, they will. If it comes to coaches v players, the coaches are gone on this team.

It is evident that these players do not want to play for some or all of these coaches. They planted that on Monday night at home and reaped it on the field on WAS.

The choice is backing the coaching staff or keeping the malcontents and uncooperative players.

This is Jerry’s team, has always been since Jimmy left, with maybe a brief period when Parcells took some power.

why blame McCarthy for Jerry’s mistakes ?

let them lose.

MM is smart enough and he will figure out who the quitters are - some of them he will be able to eject, others he will have to ride out until jerry allows him to move on....this is going to be a 2-3 year rebuild and i wouldn't expect a serious contender until 2023

Agree. You can’t lose a team you never had to start. This team is a product of the last 10 years with the Jones family and Garrett. They just aren’t good. Heck McCarthy may challenge them daily for all we know but they don’t care.

MM appeared to buy in to Jerry’s culture of no accountability and just collecting paychecks as well.

He does not want to make much needed defensive changes.

I don't believe he ever had this team. The team has been mostly listless since the opening game.

The Jones boys will do nothing. You'll probably see a few chairs shuffled at season's end, but none of the main coaches will be affected.

Yes, you need either a coaching change or a heavy turnover of the roster in the offseason. Maybe both.

if true then something has to give.
either thin the herd on the roster....or scorch the earth and bring in a new HC with a completely new staff.
the owner isnt going any where.
either McCarthy stays and is allowed to thin the herd....or they all go.

This. Admit your mistake and move on. He's terrible. And all of these former HCs on staff are making it worse. They're all stealing JJ's money.

Hire Bienemy, and let him hire his own staff.

The HUGE problem is that many of those players cant be cut due to dead money....and they KNOW it.

First....Jerry isnt cleaning house. He just did that.

Even if he gets rid of MM to attempt to sell some tickets, he will insist the new guy retain many of these assistants that he has to pay anyway.

That's the problem....he has already made his bed and he cant get out of it if he wanted to for a good few years.

McCarthy was a serious impulse buy.

No you don't. MM is a product of Aaron Rodgers - would be nothing without him.
