It appears to me after watching the last couple of games, that this team isn't responding to McCarthy or any of the coaches. Has the coaching staff lost the team so early on in the season? What should the the Jones boy do?
McCarthy isn't the primary problem at this point although he really is at best an "OK" HC. He "hid" in GB under two HOF quarterbacks and a pretty well run organization. The real issue is injuries (yes....it's and excuse) but losing your starting QB, both starting OT's, having a pro-bowl center retire and the rash of other unsurmountables is just that........
Chalk 2020 as a lost season
Their 2020 draft was solid
Need to shed big contracts over the next few years
Need to cut bait on FA that are underperforming

For some reason I always thought McCarthy was a more intense guy. Not that he was a shouters or anything, but I remember him as a guys who had that anger that kind of bubbles up under the surface. You could see he was a short fuse from an explosion. I watch him after this losses and he is much more matter of fact. Almost as if he expected the team to be this bad.

Jerry has lost this team. McC just happened to be the HC when Jerry's team fell apart, just as they always do.

let them lose.

MM is smart enough and he will figure out who the quitters are - some of them he will be able to eject, others he will have to ride out until jerry allows him to move on....this is going to be a 2-3 year rebuild and i wouldn't expect a serious contender until 2023
exactly some fans think with emotions and have zero idea of reality..when you lose your entore Ol then some backups to the OL and then your starting QB and your backup qb, its looks like lack of effort inrrelaity thats tbest they can play,,

on defesne how was Mm to know that mccoy was goig down with Lee and Lve before game 2 , alot pof Dbs down and the players they brought in wouldnt be close to expectations..it wasnt for lack of ognorig nthe defense

they Brought in

McCoy-IR and cut before game 1
haha-must been in the doghouse who knows out before game 1
Poe, Asmith, and Griffen just arent playing up to expectations maybe some is scheme , some is gelling or lack thereof, a little of both

brought back Awoods-just backup tryig to start

rookie Dl well gets season of practice now

Hill improved but now IR

Gregory could help thats I TBD for now

Diggs going through growing pains but will have upside with experience he gets i mean if it were just the defense maybe you dont want to expose him but with no offese now this is greeat way to ealrn under fire..

so Mm and this staff can reboot with off season draft and Fa now that they see the holes needed filling to make the scheme work. the offesne will be fine with the OL back helathy and Biadasz like diggs gettign a long look under fire that will be experience..
even Knight who could be the swing tackle got valuable snaps but again, IR..

this season went down the toilet mostly due to injurys and misses on FA .. Jerry didnt purposefully create poor defense and shoot his players onto IR..

they tried, bad luck, poor execution its over..

2021 reset similar offense, new defense..

I suspect Mm will have draft plan to start the defensive rebuild and should get chance to do so...

he lost his team but not the way the Op is stating he actually literally lost all of his starters..

First....Jerry isnt cleaning house. He just did that.

Even if he gets rid of MM to attempt to sell some tickets, he will insist the new guy retain many of these assistants that he has to pay anyway.

That's the problem....he has already made his bed and he cant get out of it if he wanted to for a good few years.

McCarthy was a serious impulse buy.

Unfortunately, I agree.

They were killing McCarthy on sports radio this morning. Said he is just not a good coach at all. The only reason why he won like he did was because he had Arod.

Yeah, I stopped arguing w/ the "No heart" people. They simply cannot see and don't understand how poor talent makes a team look.

I think McCarthy is letting Jerry do things his way. I think at the end of the season, he's going to use it as a bargaining chip.
I think he wants to reshape the roster (including the quarterback position), but he needs Jerry to see once and for all the way he's building a team isn't working.
I think he'll replace Kellen Moore (who was forced upon him), and I think he wants to transition from Dak. I still don't think what we've seen with backups compared to what Dak was able to do with this bad offensive line has changed McCarthy's mind. I think he wants another quarterback. Unless a superstar, coaches want "their" guys.
Still, I think the issue with Dallas is more cultural. Culture is incredibly hard to change, especially when you can't get rid of the owner, and he's the one (along with his family) who establishes the culture.

And a functioning head office and scouting department who knew how to manage a cap and rotate talent through an organization to maintain competency and relavance. They were not "scrubs" that surrounded Farve and Rodgers either...

true

no one wants to hear it supposed to a top tam with 2nd./3rd string ol and a backup qb , Mahomes couldn't play behind this line... so Nooch gets some good live action to learn in..im wondering should we just let nooch play out the year and only bring in Dalton if Nooch gets hurt?

wonder what MM and jerry are thinking right now?

True and unfortunately we do not a functioning head office.

Rebuild.

We were actually headed that way anyway though most didn't appear to see it. Let McC rebuild it. It'd be better than what Jerry would do.

And that isn't about to change in the near future.
It's not all on them either. 2020 was a great draft. You can't loose all those key postions to injury and not feel the effects. Winning in the NFL is REALLY HARD....teams need to understand they can't overpay certain positions. Bad max contracts for Elliot, Lawrence, and Cooper make it tough

MM is not a personal guy.......he's only a "passable" HC....if this is ever to work the Jones would have to hire a real football GM and let them do the "plan" but that's not about to happen......

its because of jones. yes, another response about jones. Players don't fear the coaches. its the culture of the organization. so when a new system comes and they don't like it, instead of buying into it, they disconnect. its painfully obvious the players on this team aren't on the same page...that's jerry and jerry culture, where players by pass coaches and go to the owner and know they are protected.
