but that same offense was scoring in bunches in second halves....now, they score 0 points....wow..you are right (if wrong was right)

they were losing and they weren’t scoring early and you still had Smith and Martin. The best linemen on the team, arguably in the league. But you can pretend there’s no difference. lol

People also seem unwilling to admit that 2020 Dak is better than 2019 Dak who was better than 2018 Dak who was better than.... you see the pattern yet? Dak is getting better.. period. I have every reason to believe 2021 Dak will be better than 2020 Dak. It's wishful thinking to believe we can win with an improving franchise QB by surrounding him with better talent but it's what exactly to believe we can let a franchise QB walk and replace him with ????? AND put together a solid defense? Again we have 8 or 9 problems on this team.. Getting rid of the franchise QB doesn't solve any of them. Unless making people that hate said franchise QB happy is the goal.

He's 28 years old, just snapped his ankle, and has 1 playoff win under his belt.

He may be getting better and better but it's not enough to win with unless the team around him is great. It's the same old story with Dak.

Very good. Very solid QB. Just his contract hurts the team because the market is so screwed up and he has prioritized money over championships.

QB's are winning on their rookie deals. Not their pay day. Dak gets his pay day without any jewelry to show for it? No thanks.

Well.. Look at 2019.. We were top 10 in PPG allowed.

I've seen Dak with better defenses. It's still not good enough. We always need more.. Which is fine.. Until he says pay me 40 million a year and i'll also be needing a better defense and pass protection squeezed in with that.

Dallas needs a rebuild. Locking this group of players down is not the way forward.
are you speaking of 2018 when our starting WRs for the team were the team started with Deonte thompson, cole beasley and allen Hurns as their WRs? oh, wait, sorry we had Witten as the TE....

since we have acquired Cooper, this offense has been among the best including with Linehan and Moore a rookie OC with all of 1 year of coaching experience!!!! and garrett at the helm, making all the wrong calls at the wrong time.

you want to blame 2018 on Dak. 4 games he put the team in position to win in the 4th quarter, and coach and special teams blunders cost us the game. did you forget the game against Minn, where we were knocking at the door and brain faart play calls, or the 10 40+ yard field goals our wonderful kicker missed. make half of those and we win two games easily.....

you want to analyze Dak's games to death, well, then analyze the whole game to death.....it would only be fair right?

Getting back to the original OP. I want an explanation for why Dalton the upgrade and "real QB" is scoring 27 points a game less than the other guy. Please o wise ones.. enlighten me.. The offense was suppose to I believe "take off with Dalton leading it" was the language that was used by some.. I guess I misinterpreted it. What they were really saying was that the offense was going to "take the day off" in every game with Dalton at the helm.

Dalton is getting almost no time. Like I cant point to a series where guys haven't been in his lap.

IT was bad for Dak but at least the team was still playing hard.

We're on our 3rd string Left Tackle, Knight was actually playing solid and we are worse without him, and of course Zack MArtin is missed.

It was bad for Dak but it's far worse for Dalton right now.

Dalton is the least of our issues. He just not as good at losing as Dak is I guess? Dak made the terd a little shinier?
somehow, with the same bad OL, Dak was able to be the leading passer in the league, to the point, where he missed a whole game and still was the leading passer in the league...and yet Dalton now has no time...

and now Knight is better than erving is worse than Knight...

you are using the excuse of an UDFA being better than a player who was slated to be the primary back up tackle as the reason for Dalton's failures...

do you realize how ridiculous that defense sounds....

No it's not. The last game Dak started featured a line of Knight, Williams, Biadasz, Martin and Steele... Two rookies, two undrafted free agents, a guard who isn't strong enough to move anybody and Zack. The Cowboys had scored 24 points by halftime in that game. Not saying losing Zack isn't big but Erving is probably an upgrade over Knight who was terrible the last two games he had played after a decent start. The numbers are plain even if you guys don't want to accept it. Dak has been shows to be worth TWENTY SEVEN POINTS PER GAME more than than Dalton. 33.6 ppg vs 6.5 ppg. These guys will take two more games to match what Dak put on the board in the last half of football he played.

The point is, too many jerkoffs came in here telling me that we were going to be fine and the offense would even look better because we had a "real QB" now.. And for your "7-10 points more" assessment.. Add 20 to that and you're in the ballpark.
They lost Martin man. You are intentionally downplaying that. Dak would do better obviously but we would still be losing comfortably to the likes of the Cards and Washington. Hell you could put Mahomes on this team and those games are probably still L’s.

oh, my bad. I forgot that points in the 4th quarter don't count....only the first three quarter....my bad....

facts are we were within a score with less than 3-4 minutes to go in every game....that's what counts....

but hey, you want to come up with reasons to dismiss the offense because they didnt' score early for your pleasure...

p.s.
I wrote a letter to NFL telling them to dismiss all the points in the 4th quarter and just count them as half points....early scores should count more as you said

Biggest deficits
Rams 20-13
Falcons 39-24
Seahawks 30-15
Browns 41-14
NYG 17-10
Cardinals 31-3
Commanders 25-3

I'll give Dak credit for not giving up and making a lot of these blowouts look competitive but Dallas has been getting destroyed all year. This team is terrible. A lot of the debates are losing the forest for the trees. Dallas is probably 2 plays away from being 0-7.

All this projection must be about yourself. I'm just tired of you emotional men acting like this. Just a bunch of bad faith post then acting like I'm crazy because I'm not with the disingenuous posting you and some others are doing because I don't agree with you about Dak.

they aren’t winning a dam thing in the next 4 years no matter how much you try to to sell it. There’s too many problems which makes spending big on a QB coming off a horrific injury and thinking you’re going to fix those areas seem far fetched. But definitely something Jerry would do. I don’t hate Dak, I want to see a front office build long term. And they blew that a while ago! This front office is stupid and throwing big money at Dak under the current roster will just fall in line with more of the same!

So, to sum it all up, I'm not in on a 40 burger deal for Dak. If that's what it takes, then I'm in on drafting a young QB and maybe extending Dalton or some other option and trading Dak to get something out of him. But, if he's closer to 35 and a 5 year deal, I'm in on Dak and I hope we can fix some of the issues needed to give him the support he needs to win.

That's where I'm at.

We didn't win a frikkin thing on Daks rookie deal. I hope he gets 40 million a year just to piss off the idiots around here.

Everybody who trotted out that narrative needs to lose their posting privileges for two weeks. Dalton is getting worse as time wears on not better. He was good against the Giants, terrible against the Cardinals and just plain pathetic against the Football Team. At this rate he'll need to pay the Cowboys for the right to play. I was hopeful that he would get it together as time wore on but clearly this dude is washed. May as well start the kid the rest of the way. He can't be any worse than what we're seeing out of Dalton. I cannot think of a single reason to watch this team the rest of this season.. and this comes from a guy who hasn't missed a game in 30 years. I might watch one more game.. just to see if MAYBE Sean Lee and Chido can add something to this dumpster fire of a defense.. But since neither of them plays d-line, I doubt they can provide much. At least not in the area of most need.

Sigh!

Dalton: The definition of mediocrity. His pattern (or a least seemed to be with the Bengals): good game, bad game, real bad game, average game, good game.

It should have been clear from the very start, Dalton would be a huge drop off from Dak. It was a stupid signing. Should have just rolled with Nooch as the back up because the season would be lost without Dak. Now we wasted $3 million dollars and we are in the same place of taking a look at Nooch to see if he can be a serviceable back up for the future.

It's true though.. I didn't just say Dalton would get Dak like results out of hate.

Dalton has been a good solid player throughout his career.

The mistake I made was the evaluation of those around Dalton.

I didn't take into account guys like Zeke and Gallup screwing games up..

I didn't take into account the 3rd string Left Tackle and Zack Martin being out causing the worst Oline performance in history.

I know though.. Dalton bad. Dak good.

Truth is we sucked with both.
It’s less your opinion, more the latching on with Jimmy lol. Take your lumps bruh! Lol

You mean like his 472 yard 3 TD performance against that 5-1 team in Seattle? That better team? Or maybe the 502 yard 4 TD performance against the 5-2 Clevelands? Those were the two best teams Dak played against this year.. He put up 974 yards 7 TDs and 3 INTs against them. But yeah.. he needed to step it up. Pay no attention to that defense giving up 87 points in those two games behind the curtain.
Not saying he didn't throw for a lot of yards but

Seattle has the 32nd ranked pass D
Cleveland has the 30th

Everybody is unloading on those pass defenses this year, and with far less weapons....albeit, probably better lines.
I mean, Cam freaking Newton threw for 400 on Seattle.
Once he started facing real pass defenses those numbers dropped by about 200.
