Dalton is an upgrade over Dak eh?

People were blaming Dak even when the offense was putting up damn near 40 points.. but now we can't blame the guy who replaced him for producing 1/5th as many points? By the way, the line is not down every starter. Williams is still hanging in there at LG.. though it's not like he's pancaking people. The main reason the run game isn't working is because teams are crowding the line of scrimmage and daring Dalton to make them drop out of it. This was especially true int he AZ game .. all 11 defenders were within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage. They said all week that their goal was to make Dalton beat them.. The Rats did something similar. Needless to say it worked.

Trust me, if Dalton was playing with the exact same line (hell even a more healthy OL) but the 3rd string TE was hurt, his crowd would yell "But his TE is out...we can't blame Dalton." Meanwhile when Dak threw up 1/2 a thousand yards of offense by himself and 35+ points...but lose...well now, that is all Dak's fault because he should have scored 8 points on every single drive!

These people are so predicable.

somehow, with the same bad OL, Dak was able to be the leading passer in the league, to the point, where he missed a whole game and still was the leading passer in the league...and yet Dalton now has no time...

and now Knight is better than erving is worse than Knight...

you are using the excuse of an UDFA being better than a player who was slated to be the primary back up tackle as the reason for Dalton's failures...

do you realize how ridiculous that defense sounds....

This is so fun..

Dak has thrown the ball 222 times against bad defenses on teams that were up by a ton of points..

That is a recipe for good stats for any decent QB and I think we can all agree that Dak is at the very least decent.

He's still thrown 3 more passes than Russel Wilson has this year.

You're bragging about his volume is all you are doing.

Jameis Winston also lead the league in passing last year.

Yes.. Dak's Oline was horrible.. And the offense also contributed to turnovers early on that screwed us over in games.

We were 1-4 with Dak. I promise you if we played with a lead in these games Dak's numbers drop a ton but we're bragging about empty calorie stats. Dak was "balling out" though wasn't he lol.

Everybody who trotted out that narrative needs to lose their posting privileges for two weeks. Dalton is getting worse as time wears on not better. He was good against the Giants, terrible against the Cardinals and just plain pathetic against the Football Team. At this rate he'll need to pay the Cowboys for the right to play. I was hopeful that he would get it together as time wore on but clearly this dude is washed. May as well start the kid the rest of the way. He can't be any worse than what we're seeing out of Dalton. I cannot think of a single reason to watch this team the rest of this season.. and this comes from a guy who hasn't missed a game in 30 years. I might watch one more game.. just to see if MAYBE Sean Lee and Chido can add something to this dumpster fire of a defense.. But since neither of them plays d-line, I doubt they can provide much. At least not in the area of most need.

Sigh!
Nothing to do with the OL right.

It’s less your opinion, more the latching on with Jimmy lol. Take your lumps bruh! Lol

Listen.. It may have been a bad opinion but it's not like HOF coaches didn't see it the same way I did.

Our poor play has very little to do with Dalton anyways. But yes.. He's not as good as Dak.

I've always said that.

Where I was wrong is I guess he could lose just as well as Dak does but Dak wins the style points for losing games.

Also if "coming out of the locker room down 11 points wasn't getting better" how would one characterize being up 4 points at half in the last game Dak played .. Is that not "better?".

I'm not sure what the point is, because I am not trying to account for those claiming this backup -- any backup -- was going to maintain this scoring pace. It really doesn't matter because I don't subscribe to the Skip Bayless school of shock value as some of our fans apparently do. If your endgame is to spike the football on those people, I would say, congratulations! Not sure what it means, but okay.

Further, if the barometer for improvement is rallying to forge a four-point halftime lead against an 0-4 team then this franchise is in deep trouble, regardless who's under center. This was not a good football team two months ago. And just because the offense could reel off points after falling behind by multiple scores doesn't make it some sort of juggernaut.

The score Washington posted really isn't a good indicator of what "might have been." You do understand teams tend to slow down games when they're ahead comfortably, right? Conversely, the foot will remain on the pedal if threatened. Cleveland was up four touchdowns in the fourth quarter vs Dallas and checked out. So it's likely the Commanders weren't stopping at 25 if push came to shove.

Just as predictable as you. Just because you're on the opposite side of this issue doesn't make you some unpredictable mystery poster. We all are similar just have differing pov on this issue.

Well.. Look at 2019.. We were top 10 in PPG allowed.

I've seen Dak with better defenses. It's still not good enough. We always need more.. Which is fine.. Until he says pay me 40 million a year and i'll also be needing a better defense and pass protection squeezed in with that.

Dallas needs a rebuild. Locking this group of players down is not the way forward.

If you are going to post something as though it were factual.. it would help if it was true..

2019 Dallas Cowboys Statistics & Players
Previous Season Next Season
Record: 8-8-0, 2nd in NFC East Division (Schedule and Results)

Coach: Jason Garrett (8-8-0)

Points For: 434 (27.1/g) 6th of 32

Points Against: 321 (20.1/g) 11th of 32

I call your attention to the last line here.. points against.. and more importantly, the ranking.. 11th of 32. Now I'm no expert.. but unless they have changed over the hexadecimal numbering.. 11th is NOT top 10. Close .. but this aint hand-grenades nor horseshoes.

No I am not a stupid *hithead that refuses to admit what data and film actually proves.

I was never a big fan of Matt Ryan and thought very little of him coming out of BC. I thought even with elite talent he would look about as good as Dalton looks now. He has proven to be a franchise NFL QB. I will admit that I was completely wrong about him.

If Dalton was even putting up SOME stats that rivals' Dak, I would say...I was wrong about Dalton being as good as Dak in regards to that stat or that aspect of the game.

Your crowd would scream that sky is orange if Dak said he thought the sky looked blue.

That is the difference.

Put him behind this line and he might not even be able to routinely execute a handoff!
His average time to throw was 2.59 seconds yesterday. Same as Tom Brady, Jimmy G. and Baker Mayfield had. Not trying to say our offensive line is good, but if other QBs can get the ball out that quick and be successful, we should be able to as well with out weapons.

LOL....you are a bit demented

its simple son.

do you want to be down by 3 points with 3-4 minutes to go?
or do you want to be down by 20+ pts with 3-4 minutes to go?

your answer will tell us everything we need to know.

Nah my crowd is just like your crowd but as with anything you think your crowd is better just because. That's the point and you don't even see it.

Wanna link to any posts that claimed Dalton was better than Dak? Because most people posted that we had signed a capable backup, not a replacement to Dak.

As a Cowboy fan who wants to win championships I really don't get down with these silver lining victories.

I'd rather not win a game then be 8-8.

Losing by 3 or 24 doesn't mean a whole lot to me if i'm honest.

I'm more relieved now losing like this than winning 6 of our last 17 with Dak and only beating bad teams.

I'd much rather be terrible..

You might find 10 people total on the whole board that said such. I said I thought he would be to produce similar in stats and wins over the long haul but outright better no. These posters couldn't find 10 people on here that said Dalton was better than Dak if Bezos bank account was the prize for proving their claims true.

Well from a fan standpoint you definitely win that one.
