Shan and RJ mentioned that the ratings were God awful on Sunday and will likely get worse as the season continues. Probably what he's really mad about. Dallas/Washington was sitting at only 20 percent this weekend.

Wanna say the Green Bay market was damn near twice that with a win over the measly Texans.
I'll buy into that when I see us getting flexed OUT of Sunday night games.

Enough people hate Dallas where they will tune in to watch the beatings.

I am not suffering as a fan. I do not let the outcome of a game control me. Things happen which are beyond our control.

I am not mad at Jerry or the front office. I am disappointed the players are not playing sound football and are not using sound fundamentals like proper tackling and assignment responsibility.

Just a bad year for the Cowboys. Make the most of it and try to have some fun. Pointing fingers and screaming at people right now solves nothing. Gather data and evaluate everything. Regroup next year.

Thanks, @ShortRound131... I've been curious what Jones had to say about the lastest loss. Sadly, he didn't disappoint.

To me, the most amazing statement was,

"We haven’t spent the time, the years, the money, the effort for the Dallas Cowboys to be where we are right now."

Taken at face value, he is absolutely correct. What astounds me is the implication that they (FO) have done everything possible to put a winner on the field. Setting aside the flawed drafting, poor coaching, abysmal GM, waste of talent -. Yeah, he has done everything possible

Well, I get it. It's been a long 25 seasons or so but you know what, every Coach, every move is on you Jerry. You've had the power and you've made the choices. You think you are pissed, try being a fan who has no control at all. But then again, I'm sure you have a different view of things and so maybe you see it different. Either way, you got no reason but you and Stephen to be pissy. That's just the truth of it sports fans..........

Jethro wouldn’t care who buys the tickets
I hear ya but his stayjum filled w those swinging yellow towels, his team getting trounced again...having barely scored a TD in a month....it would get to him.

But again, it would only mean him "rolling his sleeves up" and imposing more of himself on things.

It's an awful situation and some serious miracles need to happen for it to turn around any time soon...possibly ever.

Makes me think of something...

Wonder how long local radio is going to appreciate him coming on and getting pissy w the hosts, when he only has himself to blame?

How many successful Owner/ GMs are there in the NFL? Just curious. I’ll answer that myself. Aren’t we the only team except maybe “The Washington Football Team?

Jerry Jones: “I’m disappointed for our fans. This was not the plan at all. ... I’ll assure you right now we’re gonna put our head down. We haven’t spent the time, the years, the money, the effort for the Dallas Cowboys to be where we are right now.

I started a thread "What's going to change" and should have used the above in it. Isn't this the "I'll try harder" defense?

One of the last people I had to terminate got belligerent with me about the hours she had put in and all she needed was more time. The mistake was mine in making the hire, not hers. All more time would do is delay the same results.

I will tell you what is not going to change. The Joneses accepting that they are the problem. And if that doesn't happen, nothing changes. What does "put our head down" even mean? He should be hanging his head in shame because he built a heartless team that doesn't mind showing it. I wonder why that is? Could it be because the builder of this is not only an enabler but a defender and excuser of poor effort?

The sports media is just as bad as the MSM. They always blame leadership and coaching.

Not sure if it is because they don't want the backlash from the players, but it is obvious this team is low on talent right now.

If they really want answers from Jerry how about asking him why they didn't address the safety position, why does Jaylon look lost out there and what made them think Poe could still play.

Of course he thinks it's leadership in the locker room. He also thinks it's leadership in the board room as well:facepalm: Give him a couple of drinks. Then you'll get the real story. I'd almost rather chew glass then listen to anything Jerry "Walking Dead" Jones has to say about this team

Leadership? The man thinks slapping the clipboard out of a coach's hands during a game is a sign of leadership.

Think about this, people. Clint Murchison owned the Cowboys for 25 years - from 1959 until he sold the team in 1984. The longest drought that the Cowboys had with appearing in a championship game in his tenure? 6 years (1960-1966). The longest drought without a Super Bowl appearance? 11 years (1960-1970). Without a Super Bowl win? Same as previous - 11 years.

Jerry Jones has gone 25 years without any of the above - matching the duration of time that Murchison owned the team.

If that doesn't spell failure, I don't know what else to say.
