I still can’t help but laugh it was literally about two months ago that the arm chair gm’s were saying what a great pick up he was, how much better than Quinn he would be, how he would be the missing piece on the other end of the line to open things up up for Dlaw and here people are talking about what a great move it is getting rid of him.

Classic example of fans over rating players we pick up and poopoo’ing the ones we let walk.
Hand up here brother. I think I even used the word "steal" in reference to his contract. Going forward, I will promptly shut the hell up when it comes to player acquisitions. It's not the first time I've been wrong even today so I will survive.

I wouldn’t be so harsh on yourself. I guarantee he plays well on Detroit

More important than the draft pick is the money saved getting rid of him. Saved maybe $2M or so.

Too bad The front office gave crappy Crawford $9M this year. That $9M could have been rolled over and used to help dump some dead weight like Zeke or Lawrence next year.

Money is key for every team as they try to get under $175M next year. Vets are getting dumped.

I would give any team the 6th we just got and Jaylon to take him. I will drive him to the airport even!
Problem is we still have to absorb the dead money hit....

Oh and Jerry thinks he is a great player....

Jerry doesnt cut his buddies.

Edit...even if Crawford had the ability to play well and help the team, it was good business to get rid of a guy on the last year of a back loaded deal.

Nope...not here. Not Jerry's way.

Love how these players get trashed for being garbage, then people want a good pick in return.

Others teams have film also FYI.

Yeah, I don’t get people thinking we would get higher for him.......he was free for the taking up until like a week left in TC and nobody wanted him. We got to see him and now get a pick out of him. And his sacks were weak.

Time to save cap money and get some picks. I know the pick is low, but we need to start moving with our offseason draft, and maybe players will open their eyes and realize their jobs are on the line.
