He should be on the block too. As should Lewis and Awuzie. They're all in contract years and they're not coming back. Why not get anything you can?

I think there's a decent chance Awuzie comes back. He's a solid player (not great or anything) and doesn't seem like a bad dude so he shouldn't be too expensive I'd think and could contribute but who knows at this point.

20/20 hindsight. There were nothing but accolades when McCoy and Poe were signed. Everyone thought Dallas was addressing a need in the interior of the line for run defense. Everyone signed off on it.

I remember Griffen was also seen as a steal for a bargain price. Many were clamoring for months to sign Griffen. When he was signed many thought Dallas would have the best pass rush in the NFL. Again, everyone agreed.

Everyone is a genius until things go wrong. And then it's "I was against it the whole time".

Stop with the hypocrisy.

@kskboys dude this stuff is easily findable.

You loved the FA acquisitions, and those that didn't had a "lack of intelligence" according to you.

Saying this isn't hindsight? Dude come on.

I think this is further proof that Jaylon Smith is playing his last year in Dallas. The film does not lie. And they are getting rid of guys whose film is a smoldering pile of.....

I am actually encouraged that they are letting the film rule the day. I understand cap penalties must be considered....but when the cap hit is negligible...the film better be good enough for you to stick around. And we know what the film on #54 screams!

is the film ruling though? or is this about cleaning out players who were making noises about the coaching?
which leads to the real question. why do so few outsiders fit in and do well? is the environment & attitude so far below their other experiences that they are only speaking out of frustration? or were they just trying to deflect attention from their performance?

don't get me wrong, i have no sympathy for these players getting traded or cut because they have been bad. however, if the moves are just about protecting the status quo, no one is learning their lesson.

I'm thinking you didn't even read what I wrote.

I was fine w/ the McC/Poe signing because they didn't cost much. However, they were going to be limited in play time due to age. Thinking they were major finds by anyone at any time was silly. I thought they'd contribute, but didn't think they'd be major starters, more of a stopgap.

Worley has always sucked.

Claiming things are hindsight is a weak declaration.

When I'm looking for trade leverage in my fantasy football league I ALWAYS first tell all the owners Im about to cut this guy so what will you give me for him? Lol

Either way I look forward to these scrubs being gone and they arent worth anything regardless.

I read everything.... I was the one able to find it lmao.

You thinking it would take a lack of intelligence to not consider HHCD, Poe, and McCoy not a significant upgrade over Woods(played significant snaps the year before) Collins(played siginicant snaps the year before, and Heath means that you in fact did not think they simply see limited playing time like you're now trying to claim.

Stop with the hindsight dude.

You were at least right about Worley.

Why are you giving kudos to MM?

You have to know he'll never be involved in cutting and/or trading players. That's the jonses' sand box.

Nah I think this was MM. I’m not proud of his work so far but I like that he’s getting rid of problem players. Hopefully Jaylon is next

Addition by subtraction, the ultimate insult. Better off without you. Like when a girlfriend dumps you without having anyone waiting in the wings. Just go away, we’ll find someone else whenever. Poe and Worley knew it was a matter of time. I doubt either is phased by it at all.

Is it too soon to call their 2020 free agent class a total and complete bust?

Or do we need a few more years to fairly judge it?

Whoever (in their bizarro power structure) has been responsible for the bargain and/or guys-on-their-last-leg free agent signings the past few years has been awful. After Worley and Poe are shown the door, that personnel "executive" should be stripped of decision-making power immediately.
Worst free agent class...maybe ever. Have a hard time believing McCray went from genius to dog crap over night...this just stinks of our head coach and Nolan.

Yes, they are both horrible, but if the trade deadline is Tuesday, what’s the rush? Might there be injuries in this weekend’s games that persuade a team to offer a 7th rounder? Why the rush to release today?

unless we already have other deals in place and have to have the roster spots?

Our players seem to fit in just fine when they join other teams.

McCray went from genius
When did he ever reach "genius"

The FA signings have been suspect for years, before McCarthy got here.

I feel like people here try too hard to justify their heroes and associate longstanding, consistent failures with new and random people.
