Here. Learn some English...
As you can see, 'By' can refer to a period of time that is supposed to be 'before, until or at the endpoint of a particular time'. While 'Before' implies a time period that is 'in advance or ahead of a particular time'.
In a sentence, when 'By' is used with reference to time, it is mainly followed by a named time or any day of the week.
In my original post, I used 'by season's end', but I specifically followed it with stating a time somewhere around March to expect Dak to be signed. This made it clear what time period I was referring to, which meant 'at the end of the season or just after' so that there wouldn't be any confusion.
Clearly, you don't understand advanced English, but go ahead and keep making a fool of yourself.
Are you going to accept my bet of $100 that Dak will be signed 'by season's end' around March or so, or are you all talk?
