Can't tell if the secondary is trash or if the coaching/rest of the defense isn't doing them any favors ?

The last big purge of the secondary (newman, claiborne, scandrick, carr) literally all 4 of them immediately improved the moment they left.......

Wilcox was a 3rd rounder. I wouldn't called that cheap. Just a bad pick.

The pick just smelled of Jerry.

Small school guy, didn’t play safety in high school. Only played safety one year in college. It happens and people strike gold. Just not the Cowboys lol

Could be for a family reason. Would not read anything into it at this time. But sure would be nice if he was traded.
There are a handful of guys I wouldn’t trade or can’t trade
Woods isn’t one of them and I hope the rest all get traded who can be traded
Load up on picks and hope we draft well

The guy who broke that down was absolutely correct

theres guys right behind Gibson, Woods doesn’t even need to tackle him he needs to run towards him and Gibson is automatically going to adjust and the other player will catch up and tackle him

running backwards is for coverage purposes not on running plays

that was embarrassing

Watching that again was painful. Not only from Woods acting like he is trying to stay out of the way, but watching the pursuit. At one point LVE, Jaylon Smith, and Dorrance Armstrong are all chasing the play from behind. Armstrong is the only one who even got a hand on him. The starting linebackers were outrun by a backup DE. Disgusting.

He was back at practice Thursday. The grassy knoll has been leveled.

If he’s not released, he needs to be after this one play!

That tackle should have been made at around the 35 yard line, and instead Wood's incompetence or fear gives up about another 30 yards before he decides to try to tackle him. Its like he made up his mind from the start he was not going to tackle him head on, he would rather run him down from behind. He even made himself turn around to give more yards to let the RB get in front of him. Remember, this is the same guy who said he cannot give 100% on every down. It really is pathetic.

But this also covers up the incompetence of Jaylon and LVE and the DE....slow instincts and bad judgment at point of attack. And as usual, have to try to run down the carrier downfield. Total failure. This is becoming normal for this defense.
