The problem is that even with Dak it was clear there were some big problems, particularly on defense, and the O-line has become very worrisome too. I would love to sign Dak, but the team also has to find a way to afford other players to fix other positions.

I think McCarthy needs to clean house and get rid of the cliques that have formed inside the organization to accomplish what they want instead of what is best for the team.

Make sure the Dior hits you on the *** on your way out....

The more worship and grubbing of money one exhibits, the less likely he’ll ever enjoy good fortune again...

He turned his nose up at generation transformative fortunes to play QB1 for the Cowboys, and consequently, the fates saw it wise that he experience the effects painful of his hubris before he’ll eventually be cut, forgotten, and insignificant...

Had he gratefully accepted the extraordinary offer he once had, he’d probably still be in the lineup. However, his animalistic greed provided him with traumatic injury and an unceremonious dismissal from the team...

He let himself think he was somehow bigger than the position, and the football gods decided to clairify his place in scheme of things....

He might regret his sinful money worshiping ways after he loses all national ads and finds himself trending steadily downward without anyone even paying attention...

He decided he was too good for the opportunity of a lifetime being offered, and now after suffering that injury, he’ll also suffer through a readily declining career for a team firmly located in irrelevantville...

if he’d only graciously thanked Jerry and accepted his offer, his world wouldn’t become an irrelevant player on an invisible team, while suffering declining play and the inconsequential retirement that follows...

Some guys just don’t deserve to wear the Star... That includes the guys who allow deals to fall through the cracks all because his gold digger gene can’t be turned off...

The only people that should ever get the privilege to play for the Dallas Cowboys should focus the tremendous honor and privilege they are enjoying, rather than focusing on the loose change endlessly rattling around inside their beggar cups...

If I had to pay Dak that amount of money he will be elsewhere. I can find another Quarterback at a cheaper price. If you start
tieing up 45 to 50 million in a QB you can't pay the OL, DL and so on......its not smart football. This gets you beat. Its called balancing
the payroll.

he is not worth more than 30-34 mil . We were losing with him. Remember the losses last year and before . He is a good QB but not as elite to demand such money, No thanks

At this point Dak has no leg to stand on to ask for anything. No pun intended, but lets see how he heals.

35 mil yes, 45 mill hahaha no....

this team is much much better with Dak than with any qb that we would draft in the first next year (for the next couple years- not saying lawerence doesnt have a higher ceiling but its going to take him some time).

We need to be spending preimum picks on fixing the DL, LB's, Secondary, and grabbing 1 more OL starter....no room to be spending on a qb when you already have one so we need to figure how to keep dak at the right price.

He plays great on this team because he knows the team and players. It may take him 2 years to get this good in a different system. I think the deal has already been worked out last year when he talked directly with JJ and SJ. JJ didn’t want to work with france because he pulled out on a hand shake deal they had.

or maybe the idea of a sign & trade is looking better & better to Dak.

And two 1st round picks for the Cowboys. Jacksonville has a ton of cap space.
That would be great if the Jags would do it but why would they when they draft a rookie qb on a rookie salary for 5 years.

If they sign him to a long term deal, it will be in the neighborhood of what he was willing to sign for when the deadline ran out. That deadline that gets deals done.

They may end up tagging him if there is any concern over that ankle.

In all my years, I've never seen a better case for team MVP, hell, he's OVP, Only Valuable Player.

If I were Dak I'd ask if last year's offer is still available.

If so i tag and trade him. Then draft a QB high in Rd 1. No one player is worth taking up that much cap space. I have become a Dak lover but that number is silly if you want to actually field a decent team around the QB.
