This team will never win anything without a defense. They will also never win anything until they get pedigree at the QB position either. Daks not bad but he is just too inconsistent to lead this team on a 3-4 game run and beat good teams to win a SB. You combine the facts that this team needs oline and dlines rebuilt along with needing LBs and safetys and this team cannot afford Dak anymore.

Dak is inconsistent? Come on, HE, you can do better than that.

Dak has a 68% completions percentage which ranks among the top 7 currently. That's after missing the last 2 games. Dak was on pace to pass for almost 6,700 yards which would have shattered Peyton Manning's single season passing record of 5,477 yards by more than 1,200 yards. Dak ended up with a 2-3 record by the time he suffered his season ending injury, and that's because the first loss was by 3 points, the second loss was by 7 points, and the third loss was by 11 points. During the last 2 losses, the offense scored 31 and 38 points, respectively, and could have been won had our defense ever shown up instead of now becoming the worst defense in the league. That would have left the first lost (20-7) @ the Rams where one can put the blame on Dak and the offense. That would have given Dak and the Cowboys a 4-1 record after the first 5 games, so let's stop with the fairy tales about how Dak is inconsistent and doesn't have what it takes to lead this team to 3-4 game winning streaks against good teams which all 5 opponents were very good teams to play against to start the season. Dak is more than plenty of good. He's not the problem. Other players are.

No. I never thought that. We were done when Dak went down.

We were done before that. When the defense is historically bad, we were not winning anything. Even with Dak, we had only one win. Without Dak, we are worse, but this defense is just pathetic and now with the worst o-line in the league there is zero chance.

I'm not wrong. Perfectly explained.
So by your logic, you think the following hypothetical statements would be valid?

By the end of this year, I will get married (Even though I don’t get married until February or March).

How about this one:

By the start of next season, we will know who the starting QB of the Cowboys is (even if 2 QBs are still battling it out until late October),

I don’t think you would agree that those statements are logically valid. But that is exactly the language you used to phrase your bet.

I explained it fully and properly added correct explanation and context. Not my fault if you don't understand advanced English.

Nobody cares but fantasy football fans and a few of you homers.

He was also playing from far behind against some of the worst pass defenses in the league... Stop it. You are ridiculous.
:lmao::lmao: Wow you’re ignorant.

Our offense stalled when Zeke and the run game failed to show up vs good teams.

Players want to keep trying to make the playoffs or put good tape together because it makes them more money. Anyone that would stop that from happening isn’t someone they’d want to follow. The coaches want to do their best because they also want to keep their market value high. Even when things are going bad they’ll squeeze all they can out so as to not be the head on the block if they can. The whole concept of “tanking” is generally absurd. The only time you can really pull it off is in 1-2 games near the end of the season once your fate is all but decided. Right now, this team and everyone on it is trying to win.

Tanking is only something loser fans wish for.
Forget trying to win Sunday Night. Forget trying to win the division this season. Our Superbowl at this point is Trevor Lawrence..

Unfortunately... We may have watermelon kicked away our chance at an elite quarterback. 2 wins might be too many.

We have a couple of problems.

1. The team pushing these players to try and win these games.

2. The Jets are showing no signs of winning a game.

I'm struggling to find 1 win on this schedule.

Nov. 1 at Kansas City Chiefs
Nov. 9 New England Patriots
BYE
Nov. 22 at Los Angeles Chargers
Nov. 29 Miami Dolphins
Dec. 6 Las Vegas Raiders
Dec. 13 at Seattle Seahawks
Dec. 20 at Los Angeles Rams
Dec. 27 Cleveland Browns
Jan. 3 at New England Patriots

Hopefully the Jets will bring back Darnold and do their best to let him prove his value and the team pulls together and wins 3 games somehow.

Dallas needs to start Ben Dennucci.. Garret Gilbert.. Whoever.. Keep this Oline that might be the worst in history in place and let the defense do the rest.

We also need Justin Fields to have a really good season.. Like hopefully much better than Lawrence type of season. Lawrence struggling wouldn't be the worst thing too to help build the hype for Fields.

Then hopefully on draft day we can do whatever it takes to possibly move up a spot or 2 and get Lawrence. I'm sure Lawrence's agent would put a ton of pressure on the Jets to not select him as well if Dallas and Jerry Jones come calling.

This draft can send us 1 of 2 ways.. We either stay on the path of mediocrity and draft some "stud" defensive guy that has little impact on the outcomes of games or we turn this thing around and bring an electric player inside this building that is so desperately needed.

Right now this franchise needs hope and there is no hope on the way. With Lawrence in the house everything changes.

Potential elite QB for 5 years on a rookie deal is the way forward. Signing Dak and overcoming all of the other obstacles required for him to win a Championship just seems like wishful thinking.
Tanking is something loser fans like this one wish for. This is what quitters and losers do. It’s their mentality.

Back to the original premise, which was, 'Tank to take Trevor'....

Jeff George
Drew Bledsoe
Peyton Manning
Tim Couch
Michael Vick
David Carr
Carson Palmer
Eli Manning
Alex Smith
Jamarcus Russell
Matthew Stafford
Sam Bradford
Cam Newton
Andrew Luck
Jameis Winston
Jarrod Goff
Baker Mayfield
Kyler Murray
Joe Burrow

Those are all the #1 overalls since 1990. Setting aside the last 4 since we really need to see how their careers play out, it looks to me that getting a franchise QB at the #1 overall pick is about a 50/50 proposition.

Not nearly the lock many seem to think it is. There's what, one HoF'er on the list, maybe 2, and they're both named Manning? Some other very good players, some good, some busts.

Imo, tanking is never the answer.

Trevor Lawrence is another Jake Locker.

Low IQ football fans and brain dead analysts hype up every tall slow big arm quarterback like Daniel Jones, Darnold, Goff, and Lawrence every year then a mobile athletic quarterback like Russel Wilson, Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott, and Watson end up being head and shoulders better.

Fields will be a much better quarterback than Lawrence
:hammer:

Do you think he might see the man in the sky over this?:muttley:
Haunting your Dak-Dreams eh ???
My only response is.....

Seeing the man in the sky might be better than Lawrence going to the Jets...

But the Jets will pick Fields before they take Sam Darnold 2.0 aka Trevor Lawrence:muttley:

I'm beginning to wonder that in order to be a Dallas Cowboy QB.....there's more requirements than meets the eye. What about Fields at Ohio State?....too much like Dak? He ain't been mentioned once. Hmmm?
Here goes another one of the inferiority complex crew smh. Y'all dudes are disgusting with this bs. Being a victim can't be a fun life.

Jets don't need a QB and will be more than happy to drop 1 spot for an additional pick!
I'm Telling you it's happening Lawrence was born to be a Cowboy!!!
