Who are we competing with?

If we have no chance to win the super bowl (and they are worse than 1000 to 1 at this point) I’ll take the losses and the higher draft position, in this case.

To answer the question I think they are competing with but will lose to the New York Jets. Those dullards won’t win more then one game this year.

Fortunately, the Jets will take Lawrence and we don’t need a QB so we will have the chance to draft the best defensive player available to begin to rebuild that pathetic unit. With that said, I still expect and hope for the players to do their best to win football games. Teams that tank build a culture of losing like the 76ers and the browns, and the cowboys really don’t need any help in that regard.

Just imagine we luck into a Herbert, Burrow, Tua type . I would keep Nolan and keep the complicated scheme. Winning a game moving forward is a mistake. 2-14 should get us the 2nd pick and Lawrence will balk at going to the Jets so that is where Jerry swoops in and grabs him.

Falcons and Vikings are going to win some games. Im not worried about them. We need to get into one of the top 2 slots where the top 2 QB's are so people will want to trade up.

Instead of pretending to be the "fan police", how about you let the OP root for the team anyway he wants to.

If he thinks losing and getting a higher draft pick will help the team more in the long run that doesn't make him a fake fan, just like when the majority of this board was rooting for losses last year so Garrett would get fired didnt make anybody less of a fan.

We will win a couple of meaningless games which will screw us on draft position. Then some of you will rue the fact that we didn’t trade up for a player in the draft next year that we could have had without a trade up simply because we won those games. It happens every year. Lol.
