if i think there was even a 1% chance they can make a run i would say no but i think it would help them way more long term to just lose every game left this year.

Did not read the thread, but not to worry, I can't care, because it seem the players don't care if they lose. They have no shame at this point.

One player of the caliber we THINK Trevor will be changes the franchise for at least a decade. All one needs to do for evidence of this is to look at the chiefs. Without Mahomes, the chiefs would be in the exact same place they were in for 40 years. A good solid team... and a team that didnt even really sniff a SB appearance. With Mahomes starting.... they barely missed out on back to back SB wins.

If you could tell me losing out means we would have the top pick, Id do it in a heartbeat.

The networks want ratings, they couldnt care less about the quality of the game. The Cowboys will get ratings, no matter how bad they are.

The "problem", if you want to call it that, is the Cowboys still have enough players to stumble into another couple of wins before the season is over.

And teams like the Jets, Giants, Jaguars, Washington, Bengals, etc. are going to be ahead of them. Dallas should still have a top ten pick; but they won't be in line for the one or two overall pick. And I would love to trade out of that spot and absolutely own the 2021 draft.

Well it isnt that simple.
1. the jets may want lawrence, so he would be gone.
2.5 other teams are 1 win teams, so they are all ahead of dallas, that puts us at # 7
3.6 other teams are 2 win teams lol, so depending on tie breakers that could put us at #13 lol
4. we play the bengals, 1 win, we beat the falcons 2 wins, so lose that tie breaker then we play washington and eagles both 2 win teams
So we would need to lose to those teams, and eagles lose twice.
5.jerry may not want to tank, not with a chance to win the div.
6.our coaches are so dumb if they try to tank they would probably win lol.
7.players have to buy in on tank, or they could win a few games.

I am thinking dallas wins at least 2 more games, so while picking higher, it wont be as high as you might think.
it depends on what the other teams do, can they tank better than dallas? I would say probably will.

So do I want us to lose? well they probably will, but if ben gets hot who knows. I dont want them to lose to eagles, but
I already think they will unless they decided to tank too lol. What if all 4 nfce teams have decided to tank??
It will be a Tank battle lol, who can lose the best !

so its week 17 and we are playing the Eagles. If we lose, we get the top pick and get to draft Trevor out of Clemson. If we win, we lose the top pick, and Lawrence. Are you telling me you would be rooting for a Cowboys victory?
