100% sure this is what MM and staff are telling players. Also, 100% sure draft rankings and picks are the last things they wanna hear. Keep in mind, with every losing game our 2021 free agents value goes down. Think about it, if you're Aldon Smith, a free agent for 4-12 Cowboy team or 10-6 Cowboy playoff team, how much can you expect in FA.

Yeah right back to the middle.

When are we ever at the top? That’s the problem Dungy.

When healthy we are just mediocre. We need to be bad..

The cap is supposedly going down and not up.

We have a QB that wants elite money and paid like a Super Bowl champion along with a giant pile of bad contracts currently on the team.

The Cowboys need to rebuild but you’re right.. They can get back to their mediocre brand really quick.

The bottom line is that the players and staff aren’t going to quit for a high draft pick as much as the fans would like them too. They are going to go out and compete as professionals and try and win every game going forward. Dungy is right. There isn’t a lot of separation between middle of the pack teams and the bottom of the league. A couple key injuries can sometimes be that difference.

With that said, we ARE going to get better between now and the end of the season. Depending on how things break for us this could result in enough wins to take this crappy division or we could get better but it not be enough to result in another win at all. What everybody has to understand though is that the staff and players are not going to lay down and quit.

Right, Tony. Whatever you say.

Guy must feel REALLY stupid for saying Dak’s injury could be a “blessing in disguise” for the 2020 Cowboys.

(Just like the posters here who thought Dalton was even half the QB Dak is)

They haven’t quit.

What does this even mean to you?

Seriously, you think the players get suited up and go out there and just go through the motions?

You can’t do that in a physical sport like football. You’ll get hurt or knocked the **** out. You HAVE to compete. There is no other option.

What an insane comment that was. It shows that even HOF coaches can be obtusely irrational when it comes to football just like the fans.

I do understand but so far they are playing uninspired football lately

It sure as hell looked like they’ve already quit based on last week (the week before as well). I don’t see how anyone can say otherwise.

What do you mean by quit?

Because you can’t quit, the way it’s defined in the dictionary, and walk onto an NFL field. You’ll get your head taken off. You have to compete. There is literally no other option.

As for the staff, do you honestly think they have stopped coaching and analyzing film?

Seriously?

What's Dungy doing, trying to sell a SNF matchup they wish had been flexed?
