Were people actually expecting anything better from Dinucci?

It is just as well we lose. We need a top 5 pick and need to draft a stud DT or safety...

About what anyone should expect from a seventh round rookie who was the developmental guy. Quarterbacking is really really hard.

That said, at least we have an excuse. Wince was almost as bad.

Actually yes. I never saw a quarterback that bad in the NFL. I didn't see a QB play that bad in the USFL, the AAF, or the XFL. He's just not ready. He couldn't really throw the ball. I never saw that.

Its tough to see what the FO saw in his highlights to use a draft pick. They must have a different set of film.

No but I also expected the OC to not compound the problem. That stupid reverse to Wilson, which hadn't fooled the Eagles all night (check that, it worked once when Pollard FOOLED them into thinking it was a reverse) changed the entire trajectory of the 2nd half. Pushed us into deep FG range and from there the bottom fell out.

He also had some really dumb calls on third and fourth down. Terrible game from Nooch and Moore IMO.

7th round small school guy making his 1st start behind a practice squad level OL. Went better than I expected, I thought he’d be knocked out by half time.

I’ve seen it many times actually. Many many times. Dinucci did no worse and many other third string guys or rookies.

Seventh-round rookie making his first start, behind a patchwork O-line and with a $100mil RB with no burst — with plays being called by a mistake of an OC.

Yeah...let’s blame the kid.

I honestly think they should continue to start him.

Yeah, pretty rough game but she showed more than guys like Weeden or Cassel in the past. I guarantee he did better than Cooper Rush would've.

This is the preseason for 2021. Might as well develop the guy and see if he can function as a capable backup.
I agree ppl are predictably overreacting. With more time in practice with the WRs and more reps with the offense, I think he’ll develop Into a solid backup for next yr.

He is not an NFL qb! With Dalton we win tonight. With Dak we win by 30. Our D actually improved, so that's a good thing and the o line was better as well. The season is done for us. Time to just work on the things we can and get guys on the same page for next year. Seems like dumping guys this week might have sent a message to the team. Outside of the qb play the rest of the guys were fine. Oh and Chris Jones sucks butt!

I was hoping he would be more accurate. Thought I read he completed 70% of his passes his senior year. Albeit against FCS competition. Arm strength seems very poor for NFL caliber. But he was a 7th round flyer. At that point your looking for lightning in a bottle. He doesn't seem to be that, but dont disapprove taking the chance at that point. First NFL start. Has done more than 99% of college QBs have.

Uh, the play caller is taking shots precisely because the qb is so bad. I think the rest of the night vindicated that call. It’s the only shot we had to score.

I was expecting he could at least throw the football better than me out in the street

Cant remember worse QB play in an NFL game by both QBs Who taught this kid to throw its a wobbling side arm mess . Sheesh what a horrible product .
