Were people actually expecting anything better from Dinucci?

That’s why it’s a gamble. Gambles can hurt the team. And I think most would agree we needed to gamble.

Gamble at the right time. That wasn't the right time. And again, if you want to gamble, throw something at them they haven't seen. Not the same damn play you ran a quarter earlier that Philly looked like they knew was coming all along.

He needs to not cough the ball up every other time that he's sacked. He seemed to hold onto it far too long as well, but I couldn't tell what the coverage looked like. I thought he was a bit faster too.

Watching a lot of his games though, I was not expecting him to be so off target. The one throw to Gallup, I believe it was right before halftime, I think he was throwing a comeback that Gallup wasn't running. But them there were a few questionable throws that had defenders underneath, they luckily didn't get picked off.

He didn't look like he was throwing the ball the same way he did in College. No zip, hardly any power, and some accuracy issues. But, he's a 7th round pick with very little experience and no preseason.

Not that different? It’s night and day!

The football is about the same. Air is about the same. Gravity is the same. Arm is the same.

Schemes are more complicated. Players are bigger, stronger, faster. But standing there throwing a ball is standing there throwing a ball.

I was just talking accuracy. Can you throw a ball to a spot. Often he had limited pressure, and still was way off.

Dinucci has no business throwing passes in the NFL yet.

he is a total project. He needs his mechanics to be completely retooled.

He is a project QB.

Who the hell taught him to throw a football like that, my gosh that was horrible mechanics.

His entire throwing motion, foot work, delivery, virtually everything needs to be reworked from the ground up.

Anyone who would make a long term judgement of a small school rookie QB in a Covid, uncoached environment, playing behind this OL is......well.....stupid.

Maybe to not fumble so much. The offensive output was what I expected, but I don’t think it’s asking too much to hang in to the ball and not fumble.

I honestly think they should continue to start him.

Yeah, pretty rough game but she showed more than guys like Weeden or Cassel in the past. I guarantee he did better than Cooper Rush would've.

This is the preseason for 2021. Might as well develop the guy and see if he can function as a capable backup.
I agree with this. Yes. Either way you hash out if he surprises you.

actually that man should never see the field again anytime soon. he is not NFL ready but of course he isn't the only one on our roster we could say that about

I have no idea. He looks more like a shortstop throwing the ball to first base than a QB throwing a football.

No surprise at all by any of these bad actors

Dalton plays like an over the hill Qb on the wrong side of his career,
Dinucci plays like a 7th rounder in his first NFL start
Dak Prescott plays like a 4th rounder but wants to be paid like an Elite Qb like Mahomes.

If you were expecting more from The Nooch, that's your own fault. You don't draft a qb in the 7th round to step in and play. The expectation is that he eventually grows into being useful to a team, starting is a moonshot.

It was a little too late for him to start feeling confident, the game was basically already going where we expected it to. Same old scenario close to scoring a TD, turned it over, penalty after penalty and watching the eagles stomp all over Dinucci.

That's pretty much how a 3rd string qb looks, but then again, we've heard that this offense is so stacked with weapons that just about anybody can do what Dak was doing

DiNucci looked like he has a Pentium 1 processor in his brain. The game was WAY too fast for him last night, and it's not a surprise. His accuracy left a lot to be desired. His throwing motion is way too long, and his footwork needs to be overhauled. That being said, on a number of occasions, his receivers didn't help him out.
