Just gonna shoot from the hip a bit. I think Tyron is done, Conner is regressing, Baidazz may or may not be the answer, Martin is a stud and Collins is also, if he's healthy. We have several glaring holes on defense. Probably need to add about 4 or 5 staters.
The question that I ask myself, if we lose out and end up with the top pick in the draft, do we really take Lawrence and move on from Dak?
The cap savings between the two can help is sign so good talent. Crawford's and Tyrons money will also help.
I really like Dak and do not want to let him go, but I have to admit it will be tempting. Especially, if Jerry feels that Dak dissed him by not signing.

Build with Dak?
Rebuild as described?

What say you?

Keep Dak at all costs!!!
The last 4 years have been Greatness in a bottle baby!!!:banghead:
P.S.While you're keeping him destroy our cap in the process so our doom is guaranteed!!

it's the $200 million question. honestly, neither us nor the team should try to answer right now.
we need to get to the end of the season & see what our player evaluations are.
if we think we can plug enough holes to be competitive in 2021, then you try to repair.
if you don't think you can plug enough, then you gotta consider it a rebuild.

A combination of both build & rebuild. Too many injuries plague them, not being consistent and letting their opponents score first and continue stomping all over them. Bottom line stop giving these games away. You can clearly see the frustration, yet no real effort. Yes I'm frustrated with them but not ready to give up.

Dak is your QB.
Sorry it would leave a very bad taste in players mouths if you trade him.
On the other hand if you get Lawerance you have to think about it.
Js.
They won't trade him, either tag or sign him.

And the question is what do they do if they are in a position to get Lawrence or Fields? Lance is in the conversation as well but I haven't seen enough of him.

I'd rather talk about the more likely scenario We get between 5-10 pick in the draft.
The Dak debate should be finished you build the defense [secondary and Dline] Add oline piece or two.
Keep T Smith wired together as long as possible but find his replacement soon.

If we can get Dak to sign a fair deal that will give us cap space, I would keep him. I would rebuild with Dak.
Nope bad idea. Walk away from Dak. This is a golden opportunity. The Football gods have blessed the Cowboys. The broken clock is finally right, hopefully we get the number 1 pick.
Do not pay an average player franchise money. That should be the motto of this team. Put in on your forehead so that you wake up and see it every morning.

Im still not convinced Lawrence is better than Watson so this is difficult.

I call them exclusively on what is good for the STAR!
And Dak "Average" Prescott on a steroid contract is a boo boo for the Star!

We all know this season is a waste. There are several reasons lack of talent and the new Coaching staff not being able to really have the
off-season they need. My feeling is we need draft picks and losing is the way to get higher ones. I really didn't care we lost to the Eagles
because we need a top 3 pick. Most likely if coming out Trevor Lawrence will be a NY Jet and NO not interested in Darnold. What I really
want is to rebuild the OL and with a top 3 pick Penei Sewell OL Oregon Ducks

I get the hope of the Lawrence/Fields sweepstakes but I think the better long term solution for us would be Dak take a good but fair contract and we use that first round pick to parlay it into more picks or end up with an impact defender like Parsons.

The Jets are not going to win 3 games...

If the Cowboys did have that pick, I would like to see what kind of stupid trade package some QB desperate team would give up to get the pick.
  • Washington for RGIII
  • Traded for #2:
  • Gave up:
    • 2012 #6 and 2nd
    • 2013 1st
    • 2014 1st (This ended up being the #2 overall pick)
  • Philly for Wentz
  • Traded for #2:
  • Gave up:
    • 2016 #8, 3rd & 4th
    • 2017 1st
    • 2018 2nd
  • Atlanta for Julio Jones
  • Traded for #6:
  • Gave up:
    • 2011 #27, 2nd & 4th
    • 2012 1st & 4th

I think the cowboys need a rebuild, including coaches. Tank for Trevor will be very difficult, the cowboys real possibilities are, Justin Fields, Gregory Rousseau, Penei Sewell. paying Dak would minimize the chances of making a good team for next season. will be the same BAD defense. the cowboys need to invest money on good free agents no experiments. my pick next years its Justin Fields. Tag Dak and trade for a 1st round pick, and select defense, if Dak stay, my picks could be, Gregory Rousseau, Penei Sewell,

Rebuild and get more aggressive in the free agent market. I'm not to confident in our GM when it comes to the draft though.

Yeah No way Jets are winning 3 games. The people that want Lawrence are living in fantasy.

I wouldn't pay Dak because the team isn't good enough to win anything. But I don't think I could actually root for Clemson Barbie, so that could be it for me.
