Stop putting DLaw in the same sentence with Jaylon Smith

How about when Wentz ran for the first down and Jaylon saw him coming past the LoS and continued to follow the receiver or TE, whichever it was, rather than turn around and stop Wentz? His idiocy is incomprehensible for a starting LB in the NFL, much less one with the payday he's gotten.

I have to go back and make a gif of that.

in today's game I would build secondary, then d line, then lb
My only reason I wouldn't spend money not the secondary is that the best corners in this league get burnt due to the rules. If its a passing league and the rules favor receivers I'm wasting resources on corner. I'd defensive line before anything. If your QB can't get a clean pocket to throw it deep that's a plus.

Um sure lol
I'm not making sense out of your answer. Xavier was hurt last year. The year before, 2018, he had 7 picks while healthy. Had a down year last year due to injury. Only played 5 games, look it up. You are able to read, no?

I know many fans wanna see sacks but he's the hardest working player on that D and honestly, it's nothing new. He always plays hard, with a lot of heart. Think some fans started hating coz the Hotz Boys thing.....

I agree. After all the defense is only fielding 9 players (who are putting forth effort) and letting #54 and #25 on the field as cheerleaders.

he was top 5 in win% at DE, not sure what that means but hes beating his responsibility i believe leading to pressures just not sacks..

as bad as Jaylon looks one we are stuck with his contract another season at least and hes in the top 5 in tackles, when we have better talent around him he does play better, hard to swallow a 10mil LB needs to be covered up but its the reality..

ive never been down on Tank ive seen hi m trying, he didnt have the knee 2-3 games and the stat of the season they had him play stand up DE like in a 3-4 OLB type role and that was a mistake. Hes been better the last 3 weeks..

I agree..Generally (not every time) a DE who gets the edge has to give some credit to his DT's for not allowing a QB to climb the pocket to get away from them.....DLAW (not an exscuse just a fact) doesnt have that luxury. He has to beat the OL clean to get the angle or the QB will just step up into the vast emptiness our DT's give to every Oline. again flame on him all you want but he generally beat his man, the QB just has so many escape options because the center of our DLINE is TRASH!!!!!

Dlaw has played way better than Jaylon...but he also makes double the $ so it is kind of a wash for what we are getting out of both guys..which isn't close to enough.

It looks that way alot but good OC's who only have one man to worry about on a Dline can usually Scheme them out of the play and they usually end up with a play or 2 just like what your seeing from DLAW......Smith is a diferent story it seems like he has forgot everything you need to know about how to play LB....its actually concerning they need to check him for head injuries or something.

Smith is terrible.. not doubting that at all. Dlaw is a better player for sure but he makes a ton of money... Dlaw is making $17 million this year, Smith is at $5.1 million. DLaw makes about 3x the amount. We are not getting value production out of either guy IMO. One is a better player but he is paid 3x more than the other. So..

Dlaw does need production to justify that contract for sure....I just don't see how he will get it with the current Dline, every team with a brain will shift to him and single block the rest of our Jags. Hopefully Gregory can help....but then I don't understand why the eagles didn't just run the ball every play they wouldve won like 30 to 0 if they had.

I 100% agree there...Everyone saying how well the D played... NO...the Eagles were just stupid. All they had to do was run the ball and they would've blown us out. Steelers won't make the same mistake.

So one game out of how many and you saying he's back??????????? Wow, personally I think they're both garbage and there's nothing that's going to change my mind.

DLaw was lined up over a weak RT and did well but, we need more from 100 mil players than a couple run stuffs and 1 sack
