How can you be an NFL coaching staff and justify putting that kid on the field? How was it not stressed to him to get rid of the ball and when to just throw it out of bounds. That game could have been so easily won if he would have just known when to throw it away and deleted a couple of the ridiculous gadget plays
I cant believe how diluted the talent has become in this league for a guy like that to be starting a SNF game on prime time . That type of QB play makes the whole league look bad . Rush , Gilbert It dosent matter the Steelers will probably go through both of them .

Andy Dalton has Covid Yea right he has F this bunch of Kitty Kats on this team that dont have my back.

He was running for his life and reverting to bad instincts. Dude was trying to make things happen, gotta give him that.

Actually I was referring to all the bubble screens and backward passes we called. I wasn't expecting much more than we got from the kid.. On the road, Sunday night, first live action since he was at James Madison.. He gave it his best shot but he was in over his head. And the coaching staff really didn't help him much. Especially those times when we got the running game going and they couldn't contain themselves and got cute. Slam that thing in there, take a two score lead and let the other team swim upstream for a change.. With the way Wentz was playing I would have loved to have seen him in some must-throw situations. Diggs might have gotten a third pick or the defense might have gotten another strip sack. Worst case you kick two FGs on those trips and are trailing 15-12 late in the game and not feeling pressure to put the whole game on DiNucci in the 4th quarter.

I'm not saying he us Romo but I'm willing to give him a couple years ans at least a real offseason...
Cool teach him how to play soccer we dont have time to wait Weight broke the wagon we need better results faster . Best thing he could do for the team is massage Daks leg and help him train .

This kid flat out sucks so bad he made me turn the TV off on my team for the 1st time in 50 yrs of watching Cowboy football .

Yeah, sorry I diverged. The play calling was definitely not optimal for success.

DiNucci was bad, but I doubt Rush Or Gilbert are going to do much better. I imagine Moore will cut some plays out of the playbook for the two of them and reduce the number of plays significantly. Neither of these guys is going to evade the pass rush any better than DiNucci, although they may protect the ball slightly better. I am no lobbying for DiNucci. He never should have been put into a game like that but they had no choice. I just have very low expectations for Rush and Gilbert, like I did for DiNucci.

Yeah all the sideways passing was bush league as hell. Either let the kid play the position or put somebody else in. If they had no plans to let him actually throw the ball like a real QB they should have put Cedric Wilson at QB and run the wishbone. Would have ruined the Eagles' defensive assignment plan..

The Cowboys could have run the Quintuple Reverse!

What's the NFL record?
Nooch could have gone down in History!

....I'm all for it. DiNooky just doesn't have the stripes to play QB in the NFL. 90% of it, is all mental. Either you lead or sit wayside. Bring on GG, lets see if he can name that song in 4 notes.

I saw potential. Guess you didn't.

Yeah if I hearken back to when Romo first got on the field it looked even worse than DiNucci and that was only preseason. Romo's passes looked more like helicopters than spirals. The only reason they weren't picked off at times was because he was typically coming in late in preseason games against future grocery clerks and UPS drivers. Romo's footwork and mechanics were worse than DiNucci's his rookie season. Parcells did him a huge favor not rushing him into action too soon.

Why keep and develop DiNucci? He looked terrible Sunday night against the Eagles. His throws were way off, overthrowing and underthrowing open receivers, not having the arm strength to throw balls with NFL speed or accuracy at all, struggling to throw balls further than 20 yards, some weird sidearm throws that mostly ended in bad throws, struggling against the speed of the game and competition, struggling badly to read defenses correctly, etc.

It's better to play both Cooper Rush and Garrett Gilbert to see which one might show they can at least play a much better game than Ben DiNucci. DiNucci was that bad last Sunday.
So you think after one game with not a single pre season game you’ve seen what he can be?
Would you have liked this first game from him
17 of 35 (48.6 percent) for 180 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, two sacks and a passer rating of 40.2.?

This is not how you treat players. No wonder there is no teamwork or loyalty on this season's team.
