I just got a notice in my email the other day that announced they are streaming live games..

All you need is a Smart Phone and a yahoo email account. That's free also.

Then go to the Play Store and download the Yahoo Sports app..sign in with your Yahoo email account and choose your game.

I am now watching the Thursday Night Football game b\w GB and Niners.

It has a neat feature where you can invite friends to a virtual chat room and you can watch the game together.

FYI.

Enjoy.

It’s only good for local or primetime games. I don’t have a yahoo email but can watch the game just fine on the app, no login required

The NFL needs to figure out more ways to get their disinterested fan base back into the league.

Yep.
I believe an entity called direct tv is the only place to get (pay for) out of market NFL games.

I bet they know a lot more about streaming and pirating than we do and so do advertisers.
Tons of money go into R&D and to think they haven't been all over this phenomena for years is naive.

Yep...every gameday you can GET advice here but all you 100% get is porn spam. Not smart enough to know that, but smart enough to use a "burner" phone and seldom used email.

anything non-football field is "R&D/promo". Doritos, Cowboys Cheerleaders, Hard Knocks, BLM......is all a rib promo. I miss the days when you might catch your favorite athlete on a wheaties box. Or of course buy the gum get the cards free.

Free works for me.

No real fans..?

Virtual fans spent money on stuff too.

This is more like what we all hoped would happen when those pricey All Acess sites started appearing.

We like free..

Free being the most important word. Now nothing is free. I imagine Yahoo is paying the NFL for right to stream the game. Yahoo, in turn, gets money from the advertisers who get money from the people who buy their products. For Fox and CBS and NBC, their viewership will go down and they will pay less for the games.

Big takeaway, I guess is people no longer need to pay directly for NFL games. Who needs NFL Ticket or cable (CBS, Fox, etc.)? I can stream for free any game on the internet and they block the commercials for me. I can watch any game taped at nflfullhd.com for free. That has to be hitting the owners and soon to be players pretty hard. If the fans decide going to the stadiums is a total waste of money, the NFL will be hit hard. I think that time is coming. $200-500+ (two tickets, parking, food) for two people to watch a game is a lot. I can think of a lot of better things to do with the money while sitting at home watching the game.

We are getting old.

Lick-a-maid and Pixie Sticks and Mary Jane's were the big ones where I came from.

Very true.

I cut the cord on cable about 3 years ago.

I do not even have a router at home. Got rid of that too.

Now I pay $25 a month to Hello for unlimited cellphone text and data and they include their hotspot as any other data.

No taxes or additional fees. The only limit is you can only tether one other device to your phone hotspot.

So I connect my Smart TV. It all works really well and combines my phone internet and data all for $25 total.

It all runs on a Verizon network so coverage is very good. Had no issues with dropped calls so far.

Now if they would just lower the price of those 5G phones. 5G is free but the phones are like buying a second car.

But that is what is driving 4G down in price.

Happy thing in a virus world.

Yahoo has been broadcasting live local NFL games for years. Do yourself a favor, and install a GPS spoofing app on your phone. Once you have that you can tell your phone you're in any city, and you'll get that city's games. I haven't done this, because it might not be legal, but I hear it's awesome.

Cool.

I just don't keep up with all the latest tech stuff and where to download the dark apps that hack programs.

Used to but not so much anymore. My nephew did stuff for me as he was definitely a wanna be hacker.

So I wait for you guys to say something before I get nosey about it.

Thanx.
