The defense has been much better the past 2 games.
It coincides with these 3 playing a high percentage of the snaps.
CB Brown
DE Gregory
LB Vander Esch
Also: Woods, Hamilton & Ankou replacing Poe's snaps on run downs. (just 1 game for Ankou)
- Gallimore - he made several plays upfront and in the backfield - have we seen such interior presence from Woods, Crawford or Poe ?
U see why team is so high on him.
- Gregory- while Aldon Smith has totally disappeared and been a non factor, Gregory has hit the ground running and he's been in the backfield
the best pure natural pass rusher that we have on the roster. His get off and agility makes him lethal whether 4-3 or 3-4.
- Return of LVE, ..if they are freed up to run and flow to the action without in-line and traffic clog, these LBs should be able to make more
plays in space and pursuit.
- Donovan Wilson inserted into the lineup -from replacing Darion Thompson
- Diggs is playing smarter and getting better per these past 2 games - injured late in this game and we paid the price with Savion Smith giving up big plays and TD score
- Brown can still get caught with his back to the ball - such as the TD vs Steelers. The more he helps inside at slot and less outside on the flanks the less
exposed and vulnernable he is .
- Poe was a massive liability , Crawford is not far behind, and it makes it worse when they slide him over to 1 tech.
- Coaches if its' reported that they simplified matter within the defense and making more comfortable for players to play fast and hesitate and confused less.
