Week 10 - Worst Case Scenario for Dallas:

2. Jacksonville 1-8 .554 SOS: Can't see them winning at Green Bay
3. NY Giants 2-8 .511 SOS: They lose to Philly.
4. Washington 2-7 466 SOS: They lose at Detroit and retain a lower SOS.
5. Dallas 2-7 .473 SOS: It's the bye week slide.
6. Several other teams at 2-7 but behind us due to Dallas' lower SOS.

Note: SOS will change some during the season but Dallas' SOS is currently lower than anyone else in the top 15 drafting spots except for Washington.

Sos shouldn't matter with Washington having beat us head to head right?

The Jets keep us from #1.

Tbh if the defense keeps show up when Dalton comes back we may win another game or 2 before its all said and done.

The NFL needs a lottery system. The Jets and Jacksonville are losing on purpose.

I am hoping instead of losing every game and tanking this season , that Gilbert gives us some life at QB and we win some more games, remain competitive, and Gilbert becomes valuable as trade bait in next years NFL draft. Jmo, but tanking for a high draft pick sucks. I would rather have Gilbert show enough that we trade him for a high draft pick, while actually having some success this season too. Losing sucks.

Gilbert isn't under contract next year, so you can't trade him.

And he isn't going to return a "high" draft pick anyways.

If the Cowboys continue to improve, barring any more injuries, they are going to blow up your charts. Right now, even with Gilbert at QB, they look better than NY and Washington - maybe even Philadelphia.

I have to say, Erving is a surprise improvement at LT. Steele did not totally screw the pooch yesterday. Looney looked okay as well, maybe better than the rookie, Biadasz. They still have issues, but they are starting to come together a little.

The play of Gregory and Gallimore was impressive yesterday as well. If they keep that up, the defense can maybe stop a few teams.

Injuries is the key factor. If Diggs's foot is a problem that is going to hurt. Chido is taking his time coming back so they are very short handed in the secondary. They new guy Saivion Smith is pretty terrible. I have a feeling trying to turn Reggie Robinson into a safety is going to be a mistake.

Despite all that, if this team goes 6-10 or 7-9 it would be the worst thing they could do.

this team will not go 6-10 because of a fluke game against Pittsburgh. We have improved, yes. But enough to go 6-10? No. We are getting ahead of ourselves here and we need to calm down.

touche.... ;).... But maybe we can sign him as a backup for next year.... Maybe he can be an improvement, and a cheaper improvement over Dalton. I simply can not hope for us to tank this season.

Yea, I think it's possible he sticks as a backup, that's about the best you can hope for.
