Well .... I think we will have more ammo to use against the "Dalton is as good as Dak" crowd after Sunday. So there is that.

-----Now me I would look forward to the next game if gilbert were starting, but not if it is dalton.
Jones boys are making it hard to enjoy the cowboys this year.

Exactly....watching Gilbert again would be the only thing I'd find remotely interesting about tuning in....do they actually think we are interested in this team for the remainder of the year? WoW....really???

This is great news!! Any fool could see (well except for Jerry and his idiot son) that this team operates better with a mobile QB and Gilbert is that guy over Dalton.

It’s just one game but Gil the Drill should be put on high alert. A 2-7 team has nothing to lose and if the Red Rocket doesn’t come out long and strong, he should be benched for the younger QB. Dallas can at least see if they have a viable young future backup...

.IMO...GG should remain the starter and let Andy be the b/up (he should be use to that by now.!)...I'd rather go with the hot hand...Andy is surely to be rusty. Plus GG will probably be the b/up to Dak next season! But I guess if the Jones wanna have a better draft position then Andy will be there guy...I remember when HC Garrett use to tell his players.something like...It doesn't matter where you come from, or what round you were drafted in. When you get your chance to play do something with it...I guess that kind of logic is out the window these days. again IMO, Dallas will have a good draft position whether they win a few more games or not!...I'd rather see GG (their potential b/up QB next season) get to start as many games as possible just for the experience!...I really don't care to see anymore of Dalton at this present time!!!

Well, I hope the coaches were consulted before this was put out.

I have to believe that is the case. This is a BigMac decision.

If Dalton stinks up the place in the next game or two, Gilbert will get his chance again. But for now, lets keep his *** on the sideline. For all the good he did he ruined it for me by being reckless in the redzone with that pick in the endzone. Remember everyone getting on Dak for not being good inside the 10? That's why. That's what he doesn't want to do.

I concur. And that opinion alone is why so many people hate Dallas fans. They collectively have the lowest football IQ out of any football fandom.

In case you didn't know Stepen Jones, we have to literally win out to even be competitive, and thats a huge if, considering we got a 4th string OL i think tis best to wrap it up and come out strong next year with great draft + FA moves. That wont be possible with this FO.

not comparing, I was showing that your evaluation of only getting 50 yards in a half on his first game with a new team, where they gave up 2 fumbles, dropped a td, and had a horrible ref PI call is not a good evaluation
OK. How about the Zona game? Would you like to discuss that? Because if I recall. The Football Team wasnt his first game.

Dalton took less to come here and the Jones orobabaly made him a promise he’s get the snaps if Dak didn’t play plus he has a lot of contract incentives based playing times.

Jones just doing him a solid

Another of a billion examples of the non-football people making a dumb football decision. Any fool can see that GG is the far superior QB behind this offensive line at this time. And by the way, he can throw too. But Jed and Jethro are forcing Dalton because he’s the one they paid the money to. They can never just follow common sense and their eyes. They always have to inject their genius and defend their prior decisions.

You're assuming Stephen and Jerry want to win, if that's true then yes it was a dumb decision. But if they're looking to tank the season, then it was a good decision.

Nobody knows, though some on this site think they do.
