yeah, true, but after having made all the money he has, and being really being the best announcer in NFL, perhaps he may find his passion in coaching. I don't think he is head coaching material yet. but defintley could be a OC
I don't disagree that he might be a good OC, but I think it's serious wishful thinking to believe he would give up both his high paying gig and his time with his family to become an OC. I suspect if he were interested in that he would have initiated that path for himself.

ALL game long Romo was spot on the money. He recognized our defense and the flaws that Big Ben spotted in it. He broke down Pitts defense and how to beat it. It's mind boggling how he sits in a booth next to Cowboy coaches and he's seeing stuff that they don't see or they are seeing and don't know how to offset it. Either way I would rather have my money on Romo than MM who doesn't have a clue on how to win in this league anymore!

One of THE WORST things we could do abd would be such a Jerry mI’ve

I hope to God we don’t do this

It is extremely unlikely Jerry Jones would extend an offer to hire Tony Romo in any capacity.

Likewise, it is highly unlikely Romo would agree to any position suggested by Jones.

The 'Tony Romo/Cowboys Salvation' fantasy has replaced the 'Jimmy Johnson/Dallas Redemption' daydream in suggestion frequency. Both men's lives have moved on beyond their old ones. Both men have shown zero inclination of coming back. And their former owner slash president slash general manager? He is still Jerry Jones. Stuck in neutral mentally. For three decades. And counting.

Wake up Virginia. Santa ain't flying in on no sleigh. Ever.
He's not? :(

no, I don't disagree. I don't think anyone is crazy enough to give him a head coaching job, without ever having been a head coach.

and like I said, it maybe something he would want to do at some point in his life, when money is not issue, perhaps he wants to become an accomplished coach....speculation only.

Has anyone ever asked him if he would be interested in coaching on any level? I'd like to hear his answer.

Calling/broadcasting a game from a booth and getting 55 players through a successful game plan are two entirely different things. Not sure some fans appreciate the challenges NFL head coaches face to have a successful season. Just me but I've not sensed that of leadership from Tony Romo. Offensive coordinator, maybe, but not head coach. In fact, I would wager Jason Witten would be a more successful NFL head coach than Romo.
Doubtful.

I could see The Hoodie parting ways with Kraft and coming to coach the Cowboys. I think the party is almost over in New England.

Romo would make a great head coach. But why would he do it? He's got it made and he has job security basically until he's an old man. Coaching can change from one season to the next.
