one game!!! a single game!!! like I said, there is a reason this guy has been around for 7 years and just threw his first TD pass and was wasting away in AAF.....but hey, forget the past 7 year and all the teams and coaches who had him and saw him first hand. lets go with the one game eye test from the couch!!!

did you know Garrett played and beat GB on thanksgiving game throwing for over 300 yards....I mean 300!!! wow....
Yet, Dalton with all of his experience has looked like crap!

But it's only 1 game for Gilbert, eh?

I'll take Gilbert over Dalton.....easily.

If Gilbert goes to PS, he's gone.

I'm sincere in saying I totally agree with that. Stephen had better come to realize that his chances of having a decent backup disappear with the loss of Gilbert. I think he likes the idea of allowing this team to "tank," but also, I hope he realizes GG is his best bet as a #1 backup. If not, maybe he's more brain dead than I had ever imagined him to be. I'm losing any respect I have left for his judgment with each passing day. I hope he proves me wrong.

they both suck. the bar is really low right now, so arguing over Gilbert vs. Dalton, just shows how far we have fallen
It's close to being a lost season. What else are we supposed to talk about? I would rather talk about which backup currently gives us the best chance to win, then of course who deserves to stay for next year+.

LOL. I am with you man....this season couldn't suck any more than it already has

There's still time left to figure things out where the available talent is concerned. o_O

Let's not give up just yet and try to make the most of the time left to figure it out. ;)

Be that as it may, Dalton will quite possibly leave for another team to start for them.

In the end, that may leave Gilbert, Cooper Rush and Ben DiNucci to vie for backup.

The eye test solidifies this.

Garrett Gilbert looked much better with this same Cowboys Offense than what Andy Dalton & Ben DiNucci have this season, plus Cooper Rush the past several seasons.

Gilbert should be the starting QB for the next game, not Dalton. Obviously, Jerry and Stephen are favoring Dalton to start because he is costing them much more to be on the team.

If we're going according to performance and how they were able to carry the Offense, shouldn't Garrett Gilbert be starting?

What say you?

So , your eye test is valid when watching Gilbert, but eye tests are invalid when other fans analyze Dak? I thought you didn’t believe in eye test. Maybe eye test are valid when they fit your agenda.

Thats when you have Jerry and Stephen calling shots. They don't care about winning. They only care about getting a return on their investment.

Has this season not proven to you how good and valuable Dak truly is??? I would say you are the one with an agenda. Still in denial?

I'm sure it's fair to say he's had exposure now and pretty good exposure, at that. I'd like to see Dallas get him but we'll see if SJ is inclined to claim and activate him? Now that he's seen such successful exposure, he's anyone's QB, as long as he remains inactive on our PS. I'm hoping he'll get the opportunity to be tested further by the Cowboys but of course other teams can take him as long as he's not on our active roster on on the PS.

Such is life in the NFL. I'm sure he'll be there for anyone to pilfer him. I'll just be hoping that Stephen decides to activate him before others do. Otherwise, he'll be available for any team that covets him. If he's as good as he looked vs. Pittsburgh on an ongoing basis, he might be worth keeping. I'm sure Dalton wants to start if another team wants him in 2021. It won't be the Cowboys, since Dak is "our guy," as our FO has already insisted he is. ;)
has he been put on the PS already??
