The smartest and best pick is Penei Sewell.

Let's make the O line in Dallas great again.
Agreed!

Picking up OT Penei Sewell would be picking up Tyron Smith's replacement for the next 10+ years, and that's because Penei Sewell barely turned 20 years old. He is the perfect prospect to replace Tyron, especially since Tyron is getting injured every year nowadays. If Tyron decides to keep playing another year or two, the Cowboys could always start Penei Sewell at Left Guard until Tyron decides to call it quits in the next year or two. Penei would be an improvement over Connor Williams. Connor Williams could become a backup until he improves his game.

All this means nothing. All this is talking heads blabbing their mouth for ratings, pretending they are mind readers and know what everyone else is thinking. And to predict Jerry's thoughts is almost impossible, because sometimes even Jerry does not know what he is thinking.

Jerry always knows what Jerry is thinking.

Jerry: Somebody better have made double sure they restocked the The Johnny Blue!!!!

You are just guessing like everybody else. You can’t totally ignore the possibility that the Jets will win a few games or that the Cowboys will not win another game. The Cowboys have been horrible until they lost to a flat, unmotivated Steelers team and some fans saw it as some kind of moral victory.
It's the same old traditional Cowboy mentality.

And it's been going on for so long as fans we don't see anything wrong.

We have feasted for so long feasting on beating .500 teams to have any kind of record..

We then repeatedly lose to the next level of team and accept its all good.

So now it's reduced itself to being encouraged we only narrowly lost to a team that did not respect us enough to get up for us at all.

So we most be improving.

No..other teams could care less about us and snooze thru their game week feeling it's a bye week for them.

I wonder how the leaders on this team really think?

Baby they all have their New Years vacations booked to get out of dodge.

There should really be some rules to protect players from having to play for teams like the Jets. It is a career killer. I guess Dallas is not much better though.
Not any better.

We just have a better marketing dept.

And Jane Slater reporting for us and not Mort Anderson or Peter King.

Somehow..its easier hearing bad news from her than from Stephen.

They act like the Cowboys are going to get the No. 1 overall pick.

The N.Y. Jets just showed everyone they're not relinquishing the No. 1 spot to anyone. But anything to talk about the Cowboys.

Sadly, I'm only interested in whether the Cowboys lose games and where they'll end up picking in the draft. This season is a waste and a wash.

Kinda like when the Egals defeat Dallas. They act as though they won some kind of a championship no matter what Dallas' record is.

I said this all week as fans around here knee jerked their emotionally responses to Jerry and Stephens remarks on dak and drafting a qb.. they arent being forthright and as the video sates , its just saying the right thing..

this isnt about Lawerence we have nearly zero % chance to get him..

its Fields VS trading the #2 pick for a boat load of picks and STILL go after a Trask or someone later in the first..you can do boat and maybe Keep dak either One FT year or LT because you than have time to get the heir apparent ready in 3 years..you still have so many picks to grab top defenders as well..cake and eat it to...

they do this is GB and NE its smart.. fields and the gp to the next 3,4,5 top QBs im betting not very big..many more QBs taken around 10 vs 1,2 have succeeded over the last decade lots of busts up at the top, so its risk either way, im taking the extra picks and risk a Trask over fields and no extra picks..
I really don’t understand why some fans see it as impossible to get the first or second pick. Dallas has been one of the worst teams , if not the worst in the league. The Jets and Jags are horrible as well, but they could win a couple of games. At this point , nobody knows what will take place. Lawrence would be the only QB that I would consider in the top five, so I would definitely try to trade back and collect several picks for a team that really wants Fields.

It sure seems like every team plays their best against the Cowboys and they celebrate like they just won the Super Bowl.

Games are played to determine a team's standing at season's end. NFL football, much so, with the Cowboys in a crazy year. It's positively guesswork. Yes, the C'boys defense looked much improved vs. the Steelers. Making assumptions based on one game, however, isn't the greatest way to predict the remainder of any season. Let's be willing to await the games ahead to see what 2020's finish involves. We'll only see what's to occur when we get there!

Yeah..

Possession is 9 tenths of the law it is said.

I propose a playoff with the Jets.

The loser..

wins.

That would be hysterical to watch 2 teams try to out lose the other.

I'd watch that.

:omg:

Jets remaining opponents..
Chargers
Dolphins
Raiders
Seahawks
Rams
Browns
Patriots
Its not out of the realm of possibility that the Jets win 2

Pretty much the Dallas Cowboys are the epitome of that as well for 20+ years running we are basically the place you go to get paid, then you leave and start playing real football again somewhere else.

Dallas will do their best to stay mediocre with Dak.. This franchise is toast for awhile.

Too many talented young QBs on rookie deals right now and HOFrs taking a discount to chase a championship.

We’re just going to be the fighting Dak’s and smile while gritting our teeth saying it’s the smart thing to do.

These guys are right. Not much they said I disagree with. But I agree with you if we have the #1 pick. I would go QB just to get the 5 year rookie deal. But someone mentioned the alternative. Trade it for a king's ransom. That would be the quickest way to rebuild the team. But they'd have to pay Dak a king's ransom.

The one thing I didn't agree with, and I think they mentioned it at the end, is tag and trade Dak. I can't see that happening. If Dallas is sitting with the #1 pick, tag Dak, and not trade away that pick, every team in the league is going to know who they're drafting. Dallas won't get much for him.

But we fans do the SAME THING on this site - and others - BLOGGIN THE BOYS, THE LANDRY HAT, COWBOYS WIRE, etc.(and used to do it on The Official Home Of The Dallas Cowboys). We type in our analyses, dislikes, likes, opinons, prognostications, rants, rumors, and 'my sources told me' takes.
So as far as the sports talk shows go....you either tune in, sit back, and enjoy the tongues wagging about our team - skip. or skip watching them - because not a week goes by that the Dallas Cowboys are not discussed 2-3 times on each sports channel.

I don’t hate Dak. I like Dak.

The problem is I want championships and you guys can’t comprehend how his salary hurts our chances because he just isn’t good enough to validate paying that money to.
