Good morning Pops from the great state on Montana.

This is our fifth week in Montana and it has snowed every single weekend.

My wife and I are bit OCD and it typically manifests itself in our meticulous planning. Everything about retirement, the home in Colorado, the move to Montana was organized and planned in minute detailed.

So, imagine my surprise and (OCD) discomfort when we suddenly, and without any plan whatsoever, decided to consider buying a home rather than building. With the price of building material skyrocketing, we can probably buy a home for far less than we can build.

We found a great log "cabin" in the Blackfoot National Forest. Pretty remote, but stunning. I was all in until I took a look in the garage/workshop... The current owner has a "snowcat", a tractor-like vehicle with tank treads instead of wheels. I asked the agent, do you have to use the snowcat that much? "Nah, just December through March".

Maybe more snow than even I like.

Thank you Coach!!! I. LOVE. THAT. MOVIE!!! My daughter and I will sometimes watch it together, even over the phone, and totally sing the “Sister’s” routine:D. I will probably watch it at least three or four times through the holidays. That and “Its a Wonderful Life” are my super all-time favorites. George Bailey and I have a lot in common, as I’m sure most people do. They made him a relatable character for a reason and from what I’ve read, George Bailey and Jimmy Stewart had a lot in common as well.

"It's a Wonderful Life" is my favorite Christmas movie and a must watch at least once during the holidays. It's a tear jerker for sure but that has changed over time.

Used to be the theme how every person's life touches another used to tear me up. Now, I tear up when I think of the people that should have gone off that bridge and Clarence stayed the hell out of it. My life could have done with a lot less touching.

I know, I know, I am Grinching up but I will catch the spirit in time to make a Christmas recovery.

I am just frustrated as I keep wanting people to prove they are not what I think the vast majority are and it just doesn't happen.

Afternoon pops!
You guys want a laugh? If you have HULU, find "Turkey Bowl."
It's not a very good movie, it's corny and pretty silly. But!!! It's worth watching for this one reason. This town resurrects a 15 year old football rivalry and have a reunion of sorts to finish a game that got stopped at halftime. So, the two towns start practicing and such. One town breaks their high school football coach out of a hospital. And you won't believe who the coach is and how he's actually really good acting his part.

Evening Pops and everyone...

Tomorrow is my eldest grand child’s 11th birthday. When did all those years pass by? He was not yet 5 when I was diagnosed and there’s so much that’s happened since that time I would have missed... crazy how time flies if we blink and get caught up in just getting through each day. Reminds me that my surgery anniversary is coming up the 24th...6 years already... unreal.

The holidays cause me to reflect and sometimes throw me into a less than happy mood. I apologize in advance if that happens, but I’ll do my best to keep it reigned in.

Enjoy what’s left of your Sunday folks. Here comes the “M” word.

Afternoon Pops, afternoon Jobs. Afternoon Fellas and good afternoon to all who stop in to check out the thread today.

So, not much happened this weekend. Kinda slow actually, which was cool but it's gonna get old fast. State is once again, closed down.

Everybody, Thanksgiving is upon us. They are telling us not to get together and celebrate and I guess everybody has to make their own decisions on that. My family, everybody who has no place to go is welcome. In this day and age, you never know when it might be the last time you get a chance to see your loved ones. I'll be damned if the last time I see one is the last time I saw them before all of this. Either way, gotta go out and shop for Thanksgiving Dinner. I'll be making 3 turkeys this year and everything else that goes along. I spent too many Holidays in my life, alone or far from home. Did that for a reason and I'll be damned if I'm going to turn anybody away. Just how I see it but everybody has to do what they think is best. Main thing is to enjoy and celebrate. Those things are important folks.

Leon, dbrp, Xelda, zrin, Trouty, ksk, RGV, Coach, RWB, Ranching, SW, John, Jan, Corso and Colo, I hope you are all doing well today. Everybody, have a great work week. Short work week next week so yeah, put in the full days now and let get to the Holiday!

Colo, this one is going out to you. This is the Zack Brown Band with Colder Weather.
