Lamb looks like the best of the best WR class ever.

That's probably why he slipped, but also why Dallas couldn't pass.

Atlanta did us a favor big favor.

why specifically Atlanta?

They have 2 pro bowl WRs and are thrilled with AJ Terrell as their top pick.

And as far as Lamb being the best of the class. He might be.
Sure hope so.

But about 5-6 others have a very good argument to make that same claim.

We may know in a few years, but not before then.

Right now, I'd give the nod to Claypool or Jefferson. But in fairness, they still have their QBs whereas Lamb does not.

Claypool has 9 TDs (7 receiving) and Jefferson is averaging almost 19 yards per catch on 44 catches.

Maybe he means Atlanta didn't trade the pick to someone who may have been itching to get Lamb (cough, cough, Philly).

But it may have exceeded expectations.

Maybe should not have bolded Ruggs, but I think the rest are now full-time starters on their team's offenses. And putting up good numbers

6-7 of those guys are all clumped together statistically.....ina group with Lamb, Jefferson, et al.

Cee Dee is leading the league in slot receiver yards.
Cole Beasley is #2

Someone fact check this. I learned it on Facebook.

This was well known prior to the draft how good it was. And is specifically why many of us didnt like the idea of taking a WR high. Because you could get a great on in the 2nd or 3rd round if you really wanted one.

None of this is surprising.
WR is the easiest position to fill in the league.
Colleges all seem to run 3 or 4 WR schemes and HS run 3-5.

That's why it is always avoid WR in round 1 unless an insane value drops to you. CeeDee was an insane value.

All that said only a handful have entered the top 50 WR discussion.
Ruggs has 13 catches, Reagor 12. Those looks like questionable picks at this point. Ruggs was always a big play but really low volume guy at Bama and Reagor was an R2 on most boards because he isn't a physical guy and comes in a bit small at only 5'11".

So you're saying that we could have picked a defensive guy in the first round and still could have a starting WR? Not complaining about us picking Lamb though.
You mean whiff and grab Chaisson and have 1 sack, and probably draft peoples jones while missing out on Diggs :muttley:

I still like Lamb among all those. Once we have a healthy QB with healthy OL, he will be a monster. Gotta find a way to keep Gallup too. I would figure with the rules the way they are now, receivers should have a big advantage now and be able to star as rookies. You just need a QB that can get them the ball.

The Cowboys did the right thing picking Lamb. He was a plug and play, instant success. The Dallas FO stated Diggs would have been their #1 pick after their draft was history. Diggs, obviously, worked out fine but took a little seasoning. I have no regrets, even though many were instant winners. When we drafted Lamb, almost everyone knew he'd succeed. That wasn't necessarily so, with some of the others -- I have no regrets, at all. :)
