A rare moment of football clarity from Jethro.

He ain't wrong.
He's very wrong.

Doesn’t matter at this point if he’s wrong or right. The point is that the FO believes that this is the case and that is the reason they haven’t caved to Dakotas demands.....this is irrefutable

It’s also irrefutable that some of us who have been accused of “hating” Dak are completely and incontrovertibly vindicated in this regard

We have been claiming that Dakota has been great in garbage or cleanup time but hasn’t come through in the games that really mattered against good teams........no hate, just pure accuracy on our part

He’s not gonna be part of the Cowboys future and Jerry has told y’all why. Pretty simple to understand

I mean I love Dak but the offense was absolutely struggling to start games when he was healthy.

The cowboys offense was averaging 15.4 points in the first half, for all the games Dak started.

the offense was not really struggling to score points in the first half of games.

Literally adding insult to injury.

What a dumb thing to say before next season's negotiations.

I don't think Jerry is the "shrewd business man" that some of you like to glorify him for being, at least not anymore.

He’s a complete football idiot. But he’s brutally honest. Like a drunken fool.

Don’t forget just last week our dysfunctional ownership said QB wouldn’t be a priority in the draft. That thread is on the 2nd page. Lol

Is it crazy to think the Cowboys could take a quarterback if they have one of the top picks in next spring’s draft? Yes,” Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas. “You’re asking me is it crazy to bring the idea up and I’m answering it, yes. We’re playing games here guys, but it’s not the thing to be talking about here at all. You know, Dak is our quarterback.”

Yup, Jerry is breaking a lot of their collective hearts.

Some of them have formed men crushes on Dakota and thought that relationship was going to be taken to the next level but alas Jerry stepped in and killed those dreams.

Says the poster who has a man hate crush 24/7 with Dak here. lol.

I think that's much more rooted in coaching and the culture here.

I'm a Dak fan, but there's something to this accusation/description. I like to think it has to do with Dak being more himself and less reliant on (poor) coaching in a 2-minute offense, but I also know that defenses typically play with an edge and they can tend to relax when up by two scores later in the game.

I'm sure someone (maybe me after the Christmas rush) can compile the stats and show the amount of scoring drives Dak has led, and how many were done facing a 10-point or more deficit. For me, the biggest tell is Dak's (and the Cowboys) record against winning teams the past three seasons. Again, I think that is much more systemic..an awful defense, poor leadership and an environment with very little accountability for marketable players... but a QB is judged by the team's record, and Dak has to take some ownership with how poor this team is against winning teams.

In his first year, Prescott threw for 13 touchdowns and 4 interceptions against above-.500 teams and compiled a 6-3 record, including the playoffs. Since then, his touchdown-to-interception ratio is 25-25 and his record as a starter is 6-17. Last year, he had an 8/8 TD/INT ratio and the Cowboys went 1-6 against teams with an above-.500 record.
