The Cowboys are held back by (bleep) poor leadership

Not sure if piss poor leadership is allowed to be said here, but regardless it's the reason for 25 years of nothing.

"Sign this guy!"

"Draft this guy!"

"Tank!"

All of it misses the point. The guys doing the signing and drafting are incompetent. Worse still, they own the team and won't fire themselves.

So go ahead...make your "tank" threads, talk about signing this guy or drafting that guy, and keep missing the point. It. Doesn't. Matter. The same 2 bozos who have given us a quarter century of nothing are still making the personnel decisions. They don't know what the (bleep) they are doing. They can't fix it. They shown us that for 25 years.

I agree with everything you're saying about how this team is run, but on a fan forum, what else do you suggest people talk about?

What you see, what you'd like to see, draft, FA, it all comes with following the team.

If you simply say nothing matters because they are in charge and won't ever get this thing right, I can't say you're wrong but then why even be hear? I'm not questioning anyone's "fandom" because I think this team is awful and have plenty of bad to say and I dont think that makes me or anyone else less of a fan.

But there really is no harm in discussing the team as a whole from every aspect when that's what we literally signed up for when we came to this forum.

Just my opinion.

I have very little confidence these two are capable of turning things around.....although I really, really want them to be able to.

You can log out by clicking your username and then selecting "log out". Then you won't have to deal with all those fools on the cowboys discussion forum who have the audacity to discuss the cowboys.

Nobody has confidence in the Jones family at this point, and Jake thinks he's incredibly clever for realizing this franchise has been bad for ages and they're to blame.

But the fact is, none of us want to stop talking Cowboys football until the day the Jones family stops being the problem. So, here we all are, including Jake.

I'm here out of habit and old time's sake. I'm a Landry/Staubach fan who never envisioned a billionaire Jethro taking over the team and making his kids executives.

I feel no loyalty to Jerry's circle jerk. I'm here more out of disdain more than anything else. I'm not stupid enough to believe the Jones Friends and Family Plan is going to accomplish anything, other than sucking money out of the pockets of Cowboys fans who haven't figured it out yet. My emotional investment is gone. I'm watching the train wreck, laughing at Jerry and any fan still drinking his Kool Aid. He wants to fix it. He's incapable of doing it, and his kids know less than him.

How 'bout 'dem Cowboys!

Jake’s opinion (or anyone else’s for that matter) is not robbing you of enjoying this site. You are robbing yourself if you let someone’s opinion Rob you of your joy.

So you disagree with him? That’s cool. Because this is an opinion forum. Tired of someone’s opinions? Don’t post there. Threads die if no one posts on it. If you choose to differ- cool- state your opinion. But telling someone to “shut up” on an opinion forum is absurd. Ending it with name calling and insults is beneath the dignity of all of us. You’re better than that.

Here’s my opinion- The biggest problem the Dallas Cowboys have as an on field product trying to win football games is Jerry Jones and his kids. I think most of us would agree on that. But if we as fans just act like there’s nothing we can do, Jerry will remain the biggest problem we have. Stop buying jerseys and tickets. I’m not asking for a billboard or a fan movement. I’m just saying one fan at a time. I haven’t bought anything Cowboys related in over a decade. I’m doing my part.

I'm not robbed of joy. Im pointing out the absurdity of a man who posts 14+ times per day for 4+ years on a Cowboys fan forum acting like it's absurd to discuss the Cowboys on said Cowboys forum as though we're all wasting time but he somehow isn't.

And yeah, people poo-pooing needlessly and hypocritically on others should really just be quiet and let other people enjoy things.

Ok. So why post 5 times in a thread you say is full of opinions you are tired of hearing about? You have almost single handedly kept this thread alive, lol.

I once had a fellow fan post over 10 times on a thread topic I started that he said he was sick of hearing about. Isn’t it better to just avoid it altogether? Whatever your opinion is that’s fine. Just always seems odd to see someone post on a thread they hate.

This place is to me about like the neighborhood pub where you know the same regulars are gonna be there and you know a lot of what everyone's gonna say and even still when Norm starts in you could just sit quietly or go elsewhere but instead you yell "shutup Norm" and then everyone talks some **** and then we all move on.

So I guess I post in dumb threads because sometimes I wanna poke the hornets nest a bit or just out of boredom or because I feel like saying my opinion simply because I can. Sometimes a thread just makes me have a thought and I decide to send it.

I'm not playing some meta strategy of trying to keep threads from surviving just because I don't like them. I dont care what happens here.

I am presently the only reason a Rockport thread is still alive and it's only because I wanted to mess with him and his low effort posting style to see what he'd say *shrug*

I've been here 14 years and one thing I don't care about is a silly avatar. Some people like them and that's cool, I just don't feel the need to put one on.
