Anybody going to watch the game tomorrow?

People here use the eye ball test in lieu of data.
Problem with just using the eye ball test in football is that the errors are more magnified than another sport where consequences are less severe.

For instance: for a LG, most of the time we hardly know what they’re doing, because out of 65 plays they’re probably playing to a standstill 60 of them. Let’s say for 3 others they pancake their defenders and the other 2 they’re caught off balance and it leads to strip sacks.

Well 63 of the 65 they either won or were even for a percentage of 96.9%. That’s pretty good. But the eyeball test will tell you that they suck because they gave up the 2 strip sacks.

Same thing for defenders. They make 2-3 splash plays and everyone loves them. But they could be getting rolled the rest of the time. But because the playcall is away from them, their errors don’t show up on TV as often.

Sure, don't get as mad now as the expectations are way down. What happened to Diggs?

The question is not will I watch it but how will I watch it? Which way will my head be shaking, up and down or side to side?

Will I be inspired by their play?

Will I be even more impressed with the team I left for dead three weeks ago?

Was that game against PIT an awakening or an anomaly? Can they springboard off that effort? Do the coaches have a handle on this team?

If I wasn't a fan, I would watch out of curiosity. What's this team about? How will they play for their QB that they left wounded on the ground?

But most of all I will watch in hopes of giving importance to the following game. I want that Thanksgiving game against the Commanders to matter, I want it like it was back in the day because as a rivalry with something at stake, it just does not get any better than that.

Its at 4:25 Eastern (3:25 Central). At Minnesota.

I know silly question, right? But with all the discontent, somebody had to ask.
How long with you watch?
If it gets bad, will you turn it off? Flip channels? Do something else?

Would have to get really bad, like 44-0 before I turn it off. Even then I'd probably grab an air rifle and shoot down the hall at targets. Maybe army men painted purple or something.

I’ll watch.. I’m not super interested in it though.

If they start getting smashed I’ll turn it off.

I used to not be like this but I’ve decided that there comes a time when this team doesn’t deserve as much of my time. They just aren’t interesting enough to watch them do their weekly attempt at football.

You ever wonder why scouts and GMs like to bring players in for a private workout. Its absolutely necessary to complete an evaluation of a player. Stats alone can be misleading because it can have a direct correlation to the competition.

Never miss a game but I’m more excited to watch Taysom Hill running the Saints offense today

I hear ya! I didn't get to see the Pittsburgh same since I was out of town visiting family. So I'm a little more interested this week. This year has been more take it or leave it overall than years past. Or maybe I'm just getting older and wiser.

I’ll be watching, until I just can’t take it or the play calling is obviously in give up mode

I’ll watch the game — haven’t missed one in near 20 years. But my emotions aren’t tied to their play anymore. I used to get wi upset over losses.

Maybe I’m just a glutton for punishment. I think we may be mildly insane to voluntarily watch this stuff, week after week

Tomorrow will mark 21 years with the missus. She will do everything in her power to dissuade me from watching.. But I haven't missed a game in like two decades. Until I moved to DFW I paid for the Sunday Ticket just so I could watch Dem Boyz. It's ironic that the Ticket is free this year.. so I can continue to scout the rest of the NFL. Though the wife hates it when I watch 12 hours of football on Sunday.. so I have to sacrifice the Sunday Night game if it's not the Cowboys. I will watch.. and scream like hell for my team.. until it becomes clear that they have no chance to win.. The first couple of throws from Dalton and the first couple of runs by Cook will tell me all I need to know about how the game is going to go.
Wait what??

Free ticket? I paid full boat for it? Although I have the ticket standalone only that I've been grand fathered in from since 1996.

But he's a masochist. And a bit of a lush.
