They played their best game and still almost lost, and If they don't go on some magical run then they look even dumber for trying to win out. Trevor Lawrence isn't the only player in this draft, but watch the Cowboys play themselves right out of a franchise player.
You watch that’s what this idiotic front office will do

We already are in the company of Detroit, Washington and surprise Dallas.
Please understand the history of this franchise before spouting off your pride of winning a game. Think big picture.
I do think big picture *****. We’re half a game out of 1st.

It's nice to win but honestly, this team ain't doing squat even if we win the lame NFCE.

The higher draft pick would be better for this franchise.
Hey...you keep cheering on your team ...like a true champ. You should be VERY proud how well you defend YOUR VERY OWN TEAM! I almost can't believe how positive and loyal you are. Truly amazing. A real inspiration.

zeke played well today.:)
Yes he did, as did the O line, glad we got our money’s worth for one game this season. Pollard looked better and he’s much cheaper. Still should have let zeke throw his temper tantrum in Cabo and rolled with a vet or FB and split the load with Pollard.

I'll give you Manning and maybe Elway but I'm not old enough to comment on the state of their franchise at that time.
Ravens: I'm assuming you meant Jackson was the 32nd overall pick
Steelers: Ben? He was taken 11th overall
Chiefs: Mahommes? 10th overall

Tanking implies that a team intentionally loses to get a top 5 pick. If a team is picking 10-15, chances are they just weren't very good the previous year. The Jets have been tanking for years and are still awful. Same with Cincy. Miami is FINALLY showing signs of life. Washington? Terrible. The Chargers tanked for Manning or Leaf, preferring Leaf. Fail.

Point being, tanking is rarely the answer. Lawrence may be a really good NFL QB but even he has his flaws. With a young team like Dallas, establishing a winning culture under a new coach is just as, if not more critical than draft position. JMHO

Again, your mentioning QBs. We technically have ours in Dak Prescott. The Browns are finally looking decent. Myles Garrett (a product of tanking) is a beast out there. You mention QBs, the Chargers may have finally found their QB in Herbert who was a sixth round pick.

Are you comparing the Cowboy’s FO with Washington’s FO or the Jets? I mean Jerry is bad, but he isn’t Jets bad. Is he?

A top 5-10 pick can land us Tyron Smith’s replacement or Jaylons replacement. We could potentially get the best defensive player in college. We can’t do that picking 15-20. It’s not so much about building your team through tanking in the Cowboys case. It’s about making a positive from a negative. The season was over when Dak broke his leg. Hey, maybe that misfortune will land us our own Myles Garrett.

As bad as we talk mess about the Cowboys, they are not the Jets, Browns, Washington or Cincy. They are actually run better than those organizations. When Dak returns, the Cowboys will be a potential playoff team next year if they get a top pick or not. Let’s try to get a playmaker now while we have the chance is all I’m saying.

Honestly, I am a person who kind of feels losing is "better" for the long term (this year) but there are a lot of factors...drafting properly, getting everyone healthy at one time next year, all that. None of that is a given either. With that being said, I am open-minded even as sad as it has been this year. In football, MLB, all sports for that matter, a team that gets hot and cohesive at the right time is not worth pushing to the side. I am just going to keep an open mind. No football team is impressing me that much this year. It's a weird year, never know what can happen.

Stupid.
We had a chance to reset this organization and we chose to win one game. Go ahead and spend 40 million on Dak and our ceiling will be Minnesota with Cousins.
You are not Winning a SB or even a second round game.
Lol!! You're from DC!! Who's the stupid one!

Why are you even here. It does nothing for you. i guess you are trying to convince others of digging in the same sheet hole you wallow in.

Lol.

don’t be a snippy little beotch.

One win after being 2-7 doesn’t excite me.

meanwhile I was answering the question the OP was asking.

deal with it.

Anyone that wants to lose is a loser! You, ma'am are a loser. With all due respect!
