With this win, the race for Trevor Lawrence is over.

Still in play for Justin Fields, but it's a pretty huge longshot.

Dalton is gonna have to compete for the backup job vs Gilbert next year. I personally think Gilbert's loss to the Steelers is more impressive than Dalton's merely decent win over the Vikings.

Sorry, crybabies

Anyone that thinks Dak won't be the QB for the Cowboys next year is a moron. Under contract or tag it is a done deal.

We need a good draft position so we can trade down and try to get some defensive help.

Thank goodness we can now put the Trevor Lawrence foolishness behind us.

We sign Dak and start breaking NFL passing records again.

Fire this up now.....

Paying him 41 million doesn't stop you form building a team around him lol. If anything it will help us build a team since we can cut some dead weight that isn't contributing and use those pieces to sign guys.

Ya, let's just cut all the dead weight and sign a bunch of cheap retreads. oh, wait, that what we have been doing. C'mon man.

The cap hit isn’t going to be 41 anyway if they do resign Dak.

people still struggle to understand how these contracts work.

How meaningless will those NFL records be if/when they don't result in playoff wins or super bowls? I want the franchise to succeed more than individual players to pad their personal stats.

I like Dak a lot as everyone knows.

even I would draft Lawrence if the cowboys had the top pick.

But there’s zero chance it happens man. Just zero
If I was Jerry then Dak would have already been signed
But where we are today it would be a no brainer to take Lawrence if we could
You are right that it’s not happening but anyone would take an elite rookie on a 5 year contract
