Jaylon to me seems to be frozen like a deer in headlights on a play or two but I don't know how to critique his play honestly. But he had full heart when he picked up that fumble and carried it over the 50 yard line helping Dallas get a crucial 3 points when it possibly could have been 7 points.

I am honestly surprised at how many people are OK with this. I supposed the end result was good so yea team. I guarantee you this type of thing is discouraged in practice. Secure the ball. These things go bad very often.

I thought it was a heads-up play, i.e., understanding no one touched DLaw, recognizing DLaw was down and he (Jaylon) was up and realizing the play wasn't dead and taking it another 20 yards.

The play you should have chosen was the one where Cook runs into Jaylon at the line of scrimmage and Jaylon bounces off him like a pinball hitting a bumper.

now we're mad because the guy made a heads up play? give me a break.

It's at a point where Jaylon can't do anything, even if it's good, to satisfy some with an agenda to administer. C'mon, man!

I get that there's no shortage of fans here with an agenda to critique Jaylon but there'll surely be far better times to do so.

Secure the ball? I'm confused, did he fumble it?

Cook ran all over them. Smith failed to seal the edge time and again. It’s a weekly issue. He will make the occasional splash play because he is a great athlete but he refuses to do the essential things to be great at the position. There is more evidence the coaches see this and he won’t be in Dallas for long. Thanks to the worst GM in the league they are razor thin at LB. They have no choice but to play Smith.
Jaylon's responsibility to set the edge? The coaches see all this terrible play, yet continue to give him more snaps than any other LB on the team. I wonder what they see that we don't. It's almost like they are paid professionals vs some guys that played JV football in high school.

To be fair: If someone like Sean Lee ran up after doing nothing on the play (or the day) and took the ball from an actual play-maker, and ran it for some extra yardage, you'd be calling it a super savvy play and writing poetic posts explaining how that play was emblematic of why he should be a Hall of Famer.

Whine much?
It was a great play by Jaylon to take the ball. Or more like for DLaw allowing him to take it. Did you really watch the replay?

DLaw was going nowhere with that ball. Jaylon came in from behind, probably said let me take it, so he did, and picked up what, 20 more yards. For which they got a FG. Which was...wait...what did we win bye....oh, a FG. imagine that. Jaylon won us the game.

Here I was thinking this was going to be about getting Cook'd in the backfield when he should've had a TFL.... but man, we're complaining about the good plays now

I am not a big Jaylon fan but anyone who watches this offense every week should be very happy with any yards we gain towards our endzone. I just don't see how people complain about him getting us 20 yards closer to scoring.

Yeah I sense the snark. I played more than JV in HS but I guess you are Lombardi and Butkus rolled up in one so why argue with greatness.

... I thought it was a heads up play by JS. He acted upon thinking there was more to add. He chanced it and won. +20yds. Its a gutsy play. It also shifted the momentum back to us.

I didn't get to see the game, hoping NFL Network shows it this week before Turkey Day.
I sure don't get criticizing the play even if I haven't seen it.
