Did we beat a good team?

I wouldn’t go that far lol. They are average

They are above the Jets, Jags and now the Burrowless Bengals
Being better than those three teams does not make them average. They are terrible. The Jets, Jags and Bengals are super-terrible, if you really want to differentiate.

I haven't understood the love for the Vikings for the entire Cousins era. They've been good for exactly one season.

Ummm.... we lost to the Seahawks by one last Wilson drive as well. I could say we should have won against the Seahawks and Rams, but there's no what-ifs in the NFL.

We lost to the Browns, Seahawks, and Rams (3 playoff teams with a combined record of 20-9) by one drive. Not sure what you're trying to say here other than celebrating a mediocre win which means essentially nothing and says nothing.
In reality we were never really in it versus the Browns or Seahawks. Garbage yards/points against prevent defense. Browns beat us by double digits so i'm unsure where you get the one drive difference from in that game. Rams game was close. Opening game and teams feeling each other out. I will give you that one but we would still only have 4 wins on the board.

Vikings lost to a late field goal having been leading the Titans (7-3) for the majority of the game. And they outplayed the Seahawks (7-3) and lost really to a boneheaded decision to not kick a chip shot field goal to be leading by 8 points with very little time on the clock. Very different scenarios.

How does leading Seattle 31-30 with 5:55 left to go constitute as garbage points? Some of the stuff said here is pure stupidity. Just because we were down 2 possessions at one point with still an eternity left to play doesn't mean the game effectively goes to garbage time. And if the kicker made both his extra points, we only needed a field goal to tie the game at the end, and we certainly got enough yards on the very last drive to get into field goal range.

Even if I give you the argument against the Browns, we were in it twice against 2 great teams (Ram, Seahawks) and lost. Just like they were in it against 2 great teams (Titans, Seahawks) and lost as well. Do I think we beat a better Vikings team yesterday? Yeah, by virtue of them having that one win against the Packers, but that's not really saying much.

I could rephrase it and state that we were always chasing the game versus the Seahawks and to me didn't look like winning. Yes we came back but the point is that the Seahawks always had control of the game whereas the Vikings outplayed the Seahawks and were winning for the vast majority of that game and blew it late on due to a coaching decision. The Browns game was a blow out until they played prevent defense and chewed up the clock on offense.

My point is that beating the Vikings yesterday was more impressive than any win from last season, and for me that includes the win over the Rams.

You regard this current Seahawks team as being great? Have you actually watched their defense play this season?

Not exactly good, but solid. They’re not great, but they’re a little better than what their record would indicate at 4-5.

It's debatable. They had been trending upwards prior to yesterdays loss and it was in their home stadium.
But if going by you are what your record says you are then probably no.

Moral victories and low bar standards have become the norm and get in the dance and see what happens enthusiasts are the most recent trend as well.

Funny how after one win that beating a crap division and getting lesser draft value is all the rage now and anyone questioning the final year end net gain from this are the quitters, trolls, non-fans and other personal insults that supposedly aren't tolerated, lol.

Fun times in Cowboy Land as usual.
You're awful defensive, and about things that hadn't even been introduced into the discussion.

I'm a bit confused by your subjective? take here. Rams had a winning record last year. As did the Eagles. We beat them both. Vikings are 4-6, and mediocre at best. So no, I disagree. I agree the other 6 wins were definitely bad, but we still had 2 wins last year against winning teams.

Seahawks led the game most of the way through and their defense is definitely terrible, but they're still the #3 overall seed on a 7-3 record. I still fail to see what's impressive about Dalton beating the Vikings who have a coach and a Quarterback on the hot seat... for a reason. The Seahawks game was at least competitive against a great team.

Dalton has one more winning team on his schedule. Just like last year, so far it looks like he's beating really weak opponents (if he were to pile up wins against the Skins, the Giants, Bengals, and Eagles.... the easiest schedule remaining known to man) while blasted by the horrible Commanders. So not sure what you think has changed here from last year.

This ain't college, its a W and those are tough to come by this year. We've lost to decidedly worse teams

The Vikings are inconsistent.

They won at Lambeau, lost 31-30 to the Titans, and Seattle scored with 15 seconds left to beat them 27-26.

But they also got trounced by Atlanta and Indianapolis.

No, but we did beat a highly competitive team (ie. Inconsistent but very capable).

On any given Sunday the Vikings can defeat any team in the NFL, save for the elite teams.

Really, our 3-7 record is deserved but we could be seen where Minnesota is in the tiers of teams.

One score defeats to Seattle, Rams, and Browns.

If we capture 2 of those we are 5 and 5.

The bad losses to two bad teams (Eagles and Skins) and the upstart Cardinals are the warts that we can't burn off.

Lately, the Cowboys are a team that's improving. There's no doubt about it.

Congrats to Andy Dalton and the offense for outplaying a decent team on the road.

Now, it's on to play Washington on Thanksgiving and a good chance to win some measure of respect. :)

Yes and No. The Cowboys had the lead and 4th and 6 with 3 minutes remaining vs Seattle.
