exactly, hard to double or bracket the slot, with a stud on the outside in Cooo and MG is no slouch
I was furious with Gallup yesterday but he’s a good receiver but his drops gotta get better

He's still producing in spite of playing with four different QBs.
Made some clutch catches yesterday, had a good game.
On pace for over 1,100 yards receiving this year, which would be his third straight 1,000 yard season, fifth in six seasons.
No-drama player, and has been much better on the road this year, too.
He and Lamb are your top-2 receivers for the next half decade.

Cooper is the straw who stirs the drink. He's the guy teams have to double. He's the guy who can take the top off a defense.

yeah the one he had until he hit the ground, he has to hold on to. the other one look like it got on him faster than he was expecting it.

Gallup's probably getting 12-15 million a year and Cooper is significantly better, IMO.

I agree. Gallup has benefited with 1:1 coverage from the attention paid to Cooper. He is good at using his body to post up a guy and bring the ball down. But if you take Cooper away, Gallup will not be able to get those favorable matchups. He just doesn't run good enough routes to be a #1 guy. Lamb looks like he is going to be good but it's way too early to tell if he will be at Cooper's level.

Cooper is the guy that makes everything go. He will be great long after gallup drops off. Trade Gallup for a pick and draft another.

If Gallup commands 15 million per, I’d probably keep Cooper too. But I think it’ll be more like 10 per and having a WR at half cost to pair with Lamb would probably be a wiser allocation of resources.

Anyone who thinks his 20 million has anything to do with the defense is lost. We have plenty of room under the cap with Jerry rolling millions forward the past two years. The facts are that most of our defenders don’t deserve a lot of money, and the front office doesn’t believe in signing big dollar free agents.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that rollover money is for #4, not the defense.

He’s one of the most skilled WRs I’ve ever seen.

He also has terrible body language and isnt consistent at all.
Absolutely right.

He isnt overall great because of it.

Glad we didnt "waste the draft pick" by tying up 20M a year though.

I didnt want him back from minute one.

Buncha softees on this team except for a select few

i dont know man...his awful "body language" even after he makes big plays rubs to many people the wrong way smh
Who would have ever thought just going out and doing your job without showing off or making a scene would be considered awful body language.

Could he show some excitement-sure but that is just not his personality.

We get so wrapped up on certain players and what they're not doing to earn their contract its unbelievable.

For what we invested in Cooper in the draft and his production on the field we had to have him back. Cooper at times looks like the best player on the field, but his dissapearing dependent on how he feels will hold him back from becoming a consistent top 5 guy. However, we're a better team with him on the field.

He’s clearly the best receiver we have. Lamb has the potential to equal him, but cooper has more speed and quickness. He’s not in his prime yet at 26 years old. He needs to drop 10 pounds though.

Coop was out there separating from Vikings DBs at will. He's a three-level WR1 all day, every day.

In a league where Cooper Kupp makes $18M/yr, you're going to have a really hard time convincing me Amari's not worth $20M.

I’d rather trade Gallup and keep Cooper. Gallup drops a lot of passes... too many for my taste. He’s the third best wr on this team no argument.

Gallup has been terrible this year. Really. It wasn’t just last week either. He has been bad save for like 3 games.

I don’t think he is going to get anything close to what some are projecting on here.

Indeed, and thank you for the recognition that so many take for granted,, we tend to do this with exceptional non drama players like Witten,, like Coop.

I hear where your coming from, and have the same thoughts.
Just looking at the roll call though, Gallup is 3rd up behind Coop and CD, and we are on 4th different QB,, not a total excuse, but Gallup I know is a good WR, but just third in line with horrible luck at QB consistency.
My closest comparison is Curtis Samuel Car WR.
You find a way to keep talent like that, on the cheap, if you can.
