Zeke cannot do what Pollard does

Why does Derrick Henry still hit big plays and Zeke doesn't?

I'd rather have Kareem Hunt then Zeke.

For as great as Zeke is we have no hardware to show for it. Nothing. Maybe 3.5 yards and a cloud of dust is not the way?
Why you comparing Elliot to Henry?
.
Henry is the Earl Campbell reincarnated.
Zeke is just Zeke.

You’re barely able to have a reasonable discussion in a sports forum. You’re not in any position to be hating on people in general. But you do you.

I’m sorry you like Zeke so much that it gets in the way of your ability to recognize that RBs outside the first round make starters in this league with regularity, but it’s the case.

LOL....you are too funny. " A reasonable discussion in a forum". REALLY? I'm your line in the sand?

Who is the judge of that? YOU? They guy that actually SAID "don't be that guy"...on a forum? THAT is being "that guy".

I am also sorry (not) that I "like zeke "so much""..you know...sort of root for him and such. What a sheety fan I am sheesh.

Gawd people...hate em.

Just going off of your performance here. Yes, I was saying you’ve barely been able to carry out a reasonable discussion. You reply to a post about players in general (not just RBs), asking for a single example. I provide it, you ask for another. I provide that, you pivot to talking about “slashers” for a player who isn’t actually a “slasher,” and take a personal dig at me in the process because I asked you to clarify your position on the way to giving you a thoughtful reply. I consider that all ‘barely reasonable.’

Zeke’s a great player. I like him (on the field) too. But he’s expensive, was expensive to draft, and plays a position that’s easy to fill. All of those things can be true at the same time.

"my performance here". What the the he double hockey sticks does that even mean? What do you object to? What are the metrics of your objection to my "performance".

I actually have never heard that ever in 20+ years on a variety of forums. "going off your performance here". I've had people not like me...that's fine. Usually because they disagree with me (or I them....whatever) . But my "performance". That...is new. And totally weird.

You mean like you mentioning QB's in a thread CLEARLY pertaining to RB's? Did I have to SPELL IT OUT FOR YOU SLOW?

But it 's MY "performance" that is lacking.

GAWD...people. I hate them more and more every second.

LOL. Comparing Zeke to all time leading rusher...now that funny.

Bettis was 250
Zeke is 230 and growing. He better embraces the Bettis role. Because that about all he is...a bruiser that might get odd 20+ yard gain every now and again...

apparently, you can't comprehend, Nobody said he was Emmitt. But if you want to be technical, they both are very similar in the sta columns with Zeke having 10 less games.
Now what's funny Is you compared him to a hall of famer as well...lol

lol what do you consider a big run? Im old and my memory can be lacking a bit but Im not seeing the occasional big run. Unless your idea of big run is 20 yards or less

where have you been and what do you call a big run, off my head I remember a 60 harder vs Bengals, a 40-50 yarder vs Steelers, a 30 yarder vs Falcons 44 yarder vs Seahawks 41 yarder vs detroit

If you want to discuss RB's, you must get in early in the discussion. It always gets really stupid.

More than likely, it wouldn't serve him well. The more carries a RB gets, the more he'll gradually deteriorate.

Zeke is built to absorb punishment. Injuries can take a toll much sooner, on the lighter RBs, like Pollard.

Unfortunately, that is especially the case with the lesser level of O-line that the Cowboys employ, at present.

Pollard is not as slight as that. He is average, and there are plenty of average sized mains. Difference is he has more speed. And giving him the ball isnt nearly as predictable as giving it to zeke. I gotta conclude that zeke is out there because of his conttact.

I seriously doubt that Pollard is capable of withstanding the type of punishment that Zeke does. The difference in their body types say as much. If the Cowboys felt he was capable of doing much more, he'd likely be doing far more than he is. If that's not enough, let's also consider that they're being very effective as a team and preventing each other from getting overly exposed to undue punishment. They'll both most likely enjoy longer careers for their present situation being continued. Changing what's already working well isn't necessarily advisable. Perhaps the coaches will change their minds if they agree with you. So far, they haven't done that with both RBs remaining healthy.

You suggested that Elliott gets more carries because he gets paid what he does and Jones needs to get his moneys worth. That's beyond silly. Elliott is just plain better. Period. Giving Pollard more carries and Elliott only 15 carries would be a foolish mistake based on your conjecture. Insult me all you want, that doesn't change the facts. The team does a better job when Elliott gets more carries, not less.

Correlation is not causation. It might be a fact that we do better when Zeke gets lots of carries but that doesn’t make it a fact that Zeke getting more carries is the reason we do better.

In terms of advance metrics like value over replacement and defense adjusted yards over replacement. It’s a fact that Zeke is terrible. I treat that as more of an anecdote though rather than concrete evidence.

2018 his longest run was 84 yds
2019 it was 78
2020 it is 45 so far

Talk about letting an agenda blind you.
Perhaps you can back up your claim and I have no agenda everything is pretty much fact pollard is quicker and has more burst through the holes . Zeke has regressed his pass catching ability has has gotten worse as has his fumbling become an issue.

and while it can’t be proven zeke was definitely the wrong pick in 2016 I realize that’s opinion and not fact it’s the line that made us a success. There have been multiple rbs make it behind this line . Ramsey would’ve been a better pick

that said I’m not endorsing pollard as a #1. Nor am I not supporting zeke on Sunday’s but it was a mistake
