We have been assuming that it was a terrible pass and maybe it was. But *if* Ceedee was supposed to run towards the back corner pylon...the pass was perfect and the route wasn't run correctly. Either way: stunning catch.

You make a great point! People with their bias and agenda...they won't try to see all the possibilities. Andy is a real vet even if not GOAT. Ceedde is a youngster. It's not implausible Andy threw it where the play is supposed to go.
Ultimately...you build on this...as experience , rapport and trust. I think it's one thing Dak needs to improve on.....trust the play. trust the players. Throw it where the receiver is SUPPOSED to be...not where he is when you saw him. If Dak can do THAT...he will make a superb QB.

Sure it's possible CeeDee did not run a perfect route on that play, but he certainly adjusted to the ball and still made the incredible catch twisting his body around. This guy will be our next superstar WR. Thus, I kinda don't really like him returning punts on regular basis. Maybe just use him once in a while when we do need a good return and its late in the game.

That's exactly what they said on the post game show,ceedee cut the route short,he was supposed to go to the deep corner post...no biggie now,he made a great catch but it could have been much easier if he would of ran it the way the play was designed.

That catch was ridiculous. I'd give it a 10 because I can't imagine it getting any more difficult. The one handed catch by Adam was good too, but only in regards to getting his feet down. With the gloves these players wear today I am no longer in awe of one handed catches. That said, it was a great catch too. Just not as good as CeeDee's catch.

Good catch, no pun intended. Even the guy in the video that was calling it a terrible pass said "just throw it to the pylon". Well, that's what he did. I even heard someone else say it on NFL network I think. But no one (including myself) bothered to look where Andy actually threw the ball.

You can't help yourself from attacking Dak, can you?
Dak was on pace to throw for almost 6,800 yards this season which would have shattered Peyton Manning's season record of 5,400 passing yards.
But, yeah, Dak needs to improve on his passing in order to become a superb passing QB.

Just because Dalton threw towards the back end pylon does not mean CeeDee was wrong with the route he ran.

It was either a poor route or poor pass. I'm guessing CeeDee cut the route short, but we'll never know unless one of them comments on it.

Interesting. I hadn't heard that. I did hear a guy on dallascowboys.com media (Jessie Holley, I think) repeatedly say it was a terrible pass. Made me curious to check it out. As I understand the QB's are usually throwing to a spot on those plays.
What's weird is that Holley said the play was supposed to go to corner pylon, but he never evaluated where Ceedee was actually running.
