The Way That I See It Thursday

So the Cowboys played their best game of the year against the Vikings and moved them into a four way tie in the win column in the NFC East but it's right back at it Thursday against the No Name team from Washington. In the first meeting the Cowboys didn't even show up especially on defense where they did a great job of following the Covid protocols and practiced social distancing and let the No Name running backs have their way and run through holes that were 10 yards wide. Offensively the Cowboys didn't look any better even before Andy Dalton went down with a concussion. however, I think this is a different Cowboys team than the last time the two teams played and even though the No Names have a much better defense than the Viking I still think that the Cowboys have improved ten fold from 5 weeks ago and that tanking the season was just an idea for most fans but that's simply not the case. I like the Cowboys in this one because I think the Cowboy's o-line now with Martin at right tackle will be able to hold off the No Name defense just enough for the win so I like the Cowboys in a close one.

There's another variable to this equation: the emotional impact of what happened yesterday with Coach Paul. Will it inspire the team or will they be down?

We sometimes forget these are people with relationships, not just cogs in a machine.

Going to be a tough game, needs to be mistake free.
But they played very well against a Vikings team that was playing better. They were on a 4 game win streak and were playing like many thought they would be playing from the start.

It dies not count as beating a team with a winning record, but it sure felt like it.
Play that same type of game tomorrow, and I feel good about a close win. Though the FBT front 7 may pose more of a problem than the Vikings. However our OL is playing better than the last time we played them.

I think the key is, as most games, get an early lead by 2 scores and keep it of course.

I really feel that they will come out swinging. Coach Paul will inspire them to give it their all. Another factor the loss to Washington where they were humiliated, and the cheap shot to Dalton where the Offense didn't come to his rescue. Payback time I feel.

I really don't care about this game. Win or lose, it's going to be about appreciating what we have....if they win, great! If they lose, it's not terrible.

Trenches. Their D Line vs our O line likely determines the outcome.

exactly how I feel, I think this team is after blood tomorrow and it’s going to be very physical from the start

Beating two teams in a row with losing records would be a hell of an accomplishment for this team, I think it happens.

Well, I'm hoping for a win, but it's going to be a tough game considering the short week....no practice, and their minds being on their S&C coach. But, hopefully they can overcome all that!!
Believe or not, we had 3 players die during football season one year. 2 of them had graduated a year earlier and one was a JV player. One accident, one overdose and one was stabbed at a party. The team was devastated but we won all three games we played those weeks. Something like this can galvanize a team. I pray for Coach Paul and his family.

also share this opinion and that said if this team comes out Flat, uninspired, and gets their tail kicked , im for the first time this season , OUT on wining and go over to the darkside and say put in gilbert and nooch sit a bunch of starters and just lose the rest LOL ill be on the tank train for the first time ever..

they have it all right in front of them , should be jacked up and ready to roll..last TG wasnt it the Bills we got embarrassed, they were FLAT from stat to finish..made me drink more LOL

Listen..

Hope springs Eternal but frankly we still have a nasty habit of reading our headlines and believing them.

This going to be like a playoff game.

Every remaining game is a playoff game for us.

Mentally..physically..I see alot to go wrong.

Unfortunately it will not take much sloppy ball to just packup and head for offseason vacation.

So I am torn b/w winning and losing at this point.

i think the odds are better we draft in the Top 5 and take that pick and trade back and get more quality picks.

Winning 2-3 more games is not going to help us for next year.

We need to be realistic..play and stay in each game but in the end..

do not pull the ring as winners.

Its just gone too far to recover from.

Entertainment is where we are at as fans..

not championships.

Agreed, except I believe the team did practice this morning around 11 a.m. after all. It's still has to be tough on such a short week, plus the team having Coach Paul on their minds. Hope it galvanizes and fires them up for tomorrow's Thanksgiving Day game.

While this isn't reality, from just this standpoint, it's a win win for the team. If they come out like gang busters, they will look inspired to be playing for their coach. If they suck tomorrow, it's just the team going back to who they were before last week.

I don’t think either team scores that many points if our defense shows up and the teams don’t turn it over a lot.

I’m worried much more about those Bama DTs than the DEs. If they push the line back in the laps of Dalton and Zeke, game over.
