That I agree with.

and I am still willing to make the trade.

We might win the NFCE but we won't make it far in the playoffs.

That is true but who knows. Our offense can go 0 to 100 real quick with these guys. I've never seen this team rack up so many points so quickly before. It's because our WR core is dynamic. If our D was just mid level in play we would probably be 5-0 right now.

From what I understand, just the unpaid signing bonus would accelerate, the gtd salary goes to the new team. So if we trade him next year, we would have 8 million cap hit compared to 22 Mil if he plays. So we would actually save 14 million by trading him. So while there is a "cost" it is adding money to the cap that we could use to bring in or sign other players like Gallup to a longer term deal and also add to our draft capital.
In terms of salary cap impact, a trade is essentially the same as releasing a player. If a player is traded at the deadline, all future prorated money will accelerate into the next season. For some teams, that takes certain players off the table if their signing bonuses and other prorated bonuses are large. In general, if a player's dead money charge in a given year will prevent him from being released the following year, it will also prevent him from being traded during the given season.

Trade Gallup, Amari's foot hurts so he's out...now you got CeeDee, Wilson n Brown.

This is the NFL, ppl get hurt, you don't build this type of depth to trade it away...and for what? Ain't nobody saving this season.

Sit tight. Wait until after 2021 then make a decision on a WR.

Every time this team actually finds a way to have a position of strength, people come out of the woodwork to trade it away. I don't get it.
We had the best o-line in the NFL but a year ago....

We need to adapt the philosophy of sell early.

Gallup fits that bill perfectly...

And people were wanting to trade Collins. Injuries can change situations in a hurry. Wr's get injured often. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I would only trade Gallup if the offer is too good to pass up. Of the "Start w/ two 1sts" variety good.

Gallup has incredible hands!!
He probably wouldn't net a first round trade value.
We should never trade a player who can be rostered for less
value then they are worth. Hopefully he is a lifetime Cowboy!!

If I'm trading any WR, it's Cooper just because he has the most perceived value. WR trades are horrible anyway. Hopkins for a 2nd?

Not a chance I'll take less than that for Gallup, and not a chance that anyone offers. Amari might get a 2nd, and even then it's a bad deal.
