Can we all now see why they kept hanging onto Randy Gregory?

I have no problem holding onto Gregory. Low contract values and didn't really take up a roster spot. He's flashed talent and knowing the marijuana rules would change it was a low risk gamble.

The talent is obviously there. That's never been a questions though. The question has always been his off the field decisions, primarily with weed, and his heart for the game. I don't think there is any chance at this point in his career he signs a prohibitive contract, so there's no reason not to keep him around. I agree, however, that you also dont rely heavily or exclusively on him.

He sure does make a good companion to Tank though. Put a real DT between them and you've got a chance to rely do some damage.

He’s a quality starter but it hasn’t resulted in much defensive success over the past 6 quarters. Too many gaping holes and too much suckage in the secondary.

Oh, RG has terrific talent. Hard to see any other NFL franchise sticking with a guy that’s played 32 games in a nearly 6 year career. Probably only in Dallas, where the GM can’t be fired for picks like that an accountability is just an afterthought.

I’m not dogging Gregory, he’s got plenty of demons, but spending a 2nd rounder on a guy that’s been available 32 of a possible 91 games usually gets a GM fired...well unless the GM is also the owner

He’s always been our most gifted Rusher since we drafted him. It was always about availability with him.

For a couple of games at least, he will give Jerry a reason to brag about his ability to get draft day steals.

Lol, Gregory has yet to play a 16 season and its been 5 yrs. Hes suspended half the time anyway

Counting playoffs, Gregory played 16 in 2018.

Any judgment on Gregory's availability for the future should take into account that the NFL's rules on pot have changed. Gregory is probably *never* suspended in those 5 years if the current rules had been in place for them.
